Thanks for all the replies everyone. Special thank you to those who quoted me numbers.

I'm not sure if I can make Vegas as cheap or expensive as I want, as I feel that's to the groomsmen who are planning everything.

If they want to go out and get bottles at a club, we all have to chip in...If they make a reso at a restaurant, then that's where we're going...

I heard Scottsdale is great and would love to go there, we've been to Montreal, which was super fun, but Vegas is already confirmed. Unfortunately, I don't have a say in the matter.

I guess i'll have to make a decision on whether to even go or not. He's a good friend, but expenses are ramping up for me and i'm definitely can't afford a $3000+ trip.

Right now if I go off some numbers you guys posted and what I can see online...

Flight = $500 CAD
Hotel, Bellagio = $350 per person (based on 4 guys to a room)
Food = $500 ($125 a day)
Entertainment clubbing = $500 (I'll probably double this if we go twice)
Strip Club = $150

= $2,000 CAD, already

Hopefully, the clubbing won't be that expensive, but it probably will...

So, a conservative budget will be about $2500 CAD???

Which, is stretching it thin for me... Ideally, if I could get it under $2k, I think I could do that.

Anyway, thanks for the replies everyone. You guys always pull through... Well, most of the time.. haha

Scottsdale is a way different vibe
more upscale and low-key at the same time
definitely a lot smaller

If I can recommend an alternative, do Scottsdale. I legit had just as much fun, half the clubs had minimal to no cover and are bumpin every night of the week.

what else is there to do there in scottsdale for stag?

Hondaracer 08-28-2018 08:43 PM

Strip clubs, good restys, cheap golf, etc.

For the Vegas trip I’d say yea, $2500 is probably a conservative estimate at this point

Valour 08-28-2018 09:19 PM

Clubbing - at the big clubs they want 3-5K per table. add 40% for tips, taxes and "entertainment fee" . usually works out to $500-700 per dude

If you bother going clubbing just do the day clubs. Chicks are more friendly day drunk and they are half naked already.

Strip club : Spearmint Rhino is the best. Free Limo no hidden charges. If you are going to go I recommend pre-booking a bottle as you save $100 from buying at the club. Save the cash for the thongs.

Sapphires: tricky "free Limo" but mandatory $40 for 2 drink minimum. Can be waived if you book a table. Try to get the Main centre table if you go. ALL the chicks will come to you and it is very very fun. Ranges from $1500-$2000 minimum. I say it's worth it for a stag. I do this all the time in lieu of nightclubs. Guaranteed one in three girls will ask you to take them back to hotel. These hoes ain't free doe.

Palomino's: ALL NUDE and Licensed to booze. My friend swears by it. I've never been.

If you do go to night clubs Omnia and XS are solid choices. Marquee, Tao and Hakasan would be the next batch recommended.

A note about Vegas clubs: They are more like music festivals now as the top clubs book Hot EDM DJ's. The crowds there aren't interested in mingling so much as they are there with their own crew/clique. A lot of hot girls dress up but it's not super easy to pull them. So basically your table will just water the bottle rats and then they move on.

Eating: The benchmark price is that a burger and fries is $25. Anything nicer ie. steak be prepared to pay 60-80 per meal

i like to go to Carmine's at Caesars Palace Forum Shoppes as it has a 2 lobster on pasta meal for $140

Parking: I don't use it as I use Uber. Uber is so goodin Vegas

punkwax 08-28-2018 09:29 PM

You could probably do Vegas for $2000. Maybe look into a bigger place on VRBO that everyone can pitch in on and check Allegiant for cheap flights (make sure the savings are worth the hassle). Tell everyone to budget 2K and see if bottle service is something everyone can afford with their money pooled. IMO it’s not worth it aside from the experience so if he’s done it before I say don’t bother.

Don’t worry about lappies for yourself just make sure the groom has a good time. So many people treat stags like their own escape. You can save by focusing on making sure the man of the hour has a great time and putting yourself aside.

That said I just had a 2 night stag in Whistler that was close to $1500.. glad most my friends are married by now lol

Right off the bat I can think of half a dozen places that are more fun and less expensive for a stag.
Montreal would be at the top of my list. Great food, great parties, cheap strip clubs with super hot ladies. Won't get raped by the exchange rate.

Wait how did you get $350 per person for 4 ppl in one room? That’s $1400 for 3 nights or $400 something for Bellagio! Check out another hotel!

I would just use pts to book flights. Bring money and gamble to win enough for that days food. And just spend it on the groom if anything. Somebody said it already. It’s not an escape for you but doing it for the groom.

We did a pool party, top golf, clubs every night. I’m a big golfer but unfortunately the group wasn’t, if you’re golfers it’s amazing.

Rented a 8500sqft house on a huge lot with a pool ect for $2k a night, worked out to $150cdn a night.

Side note, I personally just did my bachelor party last month in San Diego. I wanted to do an all inclusive in Mexico just for ease of planning/cost ect howwever many in the group couldn’t swing 7 days away.

Much to my surprise San Diego was unreal. The nightlife was bumpin, Sunburn pool party at the Hardrock downtown was one of the best parties I’ve been to, and the beaches were PACKED with babes.

68style 08-29-2018 10:51 AM

^ My wife just did a stagette down there a couple months ago and she said the same thing... she's always gone to Vegas with her girls but they're all going back to San Diego next time.

They have those fun as hell rentable electric scooters too you can just grab and dump anywhere... things go 30+km/h!!!

Not to hijack the thread from PeanutButter, but more feed off of it, my groomsmen are planning my bachelor party for next March/April. Haven't decided on a location yet. Totally open to ideas. Haven't thought about Scottsdale, but it seems interesting.

One groomsman keeps talking about Vegas, but I think it's only because he has been there once. I've been there six times over the past decade, so for me it isn't that special anymore. Plus I agree that it has become super expensive.

I wish Montreal was a bit closer. Anyone been to a bachelor party in Portland? LA?

unit 08-29-2018 11:31 AM

ive been to vegas once, and i've been making excuses to my friends not to have to go back. all my other friends love it, but it's not my thing. if it were my best friends bday then i'd prob go, otherwise i'd try to get out at every opportunity. much rather sneak out to go to the grand canyon if i were in the area.

Hondaracer 08-29-2018 12:57 PM

imo if you're into Golf and are looking for a "golf" trip as a bachelor party, the place to go is the Kootneys.

honestly the courses in Arizona are kinda shit compared to what the top courses in BC. They are ugly, flat, boring. The upside is they are relatively cheap and plentiful/close to one another.

Courses in the kootneys like Greywolf, etc. fucking blowwwwww any course in Arizona out of the water.

Did my buddies down in Portland. The no tax really helps and drinking is super cheap. 12-15 ppl iirc we spent $200 on alcohol at safeway and still had tons left over. Great time, tons of strip clubs if you into that.

Did my own down in LA, fun as well. It happened to be the weekend above & beyond was playing on the beach. Wish I stayed a couple more days to wind down and chill. Partied Thursday Friday Saturday went home Sunday night.

Valour 08-29-2018 02:22 PM

Off strip eats and activities:

Sakana Sushi in Vegas is AYCE. pretty good sushi surprising me $28
Hobak Korean BBQ There's a hot mommy and daughter serving duo. Food is good and cheap
Lotus of Siam: satisfactory but way over hyped. Solid food but I wouldn't wait 45 min to line up
El Gordos: tacos muthafucking good: $10 for 4. there are lineups but it's worth it lol. Actually lines run pretty fast

Dave and Busters - Hours of fun, great sports bar and arcade. Chuck E Cheese for grow ups

Top Golf - night time Driving range/lounge

Why are you booking your flight and hotel sperate? Usually if you bundle on the booking sights is way cheaper. Last month my friends flew in stayed Planet Hollywood for $500.

also if you gonna fit 4 in a room Venetian and Caesars Palace has pretty big suites 600 sq. ft. If you wanna do cheap book a double queen room and 2 people can get the couch and roll away. Or share the nohomo bed

ScizzMoney 08-29-2018 02:45 PM

If you guys are gonna do a bunch of cocaine, don't carry it around too long. Buy and bump right away. The possession laws can be a bitch.

prudz 08-29-2018 03:15 PM

Vegas is free if you gamble. Casinos comp multiple suites, food, drinks etc as long as you are willing to gamble X amount of $ per hand for X amount of time. So the long and short, take up gambling and go big. If you win, it's free and they will call you to come back all the time and will even pay for your flight and friends flights. Just bank on winning cause otherwise you can end up feeling like you just bought those comped suites haha.

J-Chow 08-29-2018 05:00 PM

If you can, and have time, try applying for the RBC WestJet Elite mastercard.

You'll get $250 westjet dollars, + $99 companion flight + first free checked in bags
There's an annual fee of $120, but the card practically pays for itself.
For me and the wife, it came to $370 total, ROUND trip to Vegas in October.

You'll some money on the flight, and so will one other buddy (unless all your buddies apply for it), then everyone saves!

Umm after resort fee's and such it was about $350 give or take. All the guys will be staying at the bellagio, so we wanted to be in the same hotel.

My brother went to San Diego and he loved it. He did his stag in LA, but his buddies stag in San Diego and he said San Diego was way better. Flights were super cheap and they were one way, i think he paid less than $400 CAD for a direct flight to San Diego.

Montreal I've done and it was awesome, the strip clubs and city and everything were fantastic. Can't beat a $15 lap dance.

But, I think you can go wrong with Scottsdale or San Diego. Everyone has told me great things about Scottsdale. So I think those two should be at the top of your list.

My friends that went to Scottsdale said it was awesome too. Really cheap to get a nice house with a pool.

Cool, thanks for the suggestion, I think i'll do this. I'll split it with a friend and it'll help save a few hundred! Cheers

Looking at these numbers you guys are posting up that seems like a crazy amount to spend for a bachelor party. Granted it depends on what kinda stuff you're into so there's a million different ways to do one.

Hondaracer 08-29-2018 06:23 PM

I had mine in Whistler, and honestly if I had the choice of Scottsdale or whistler, I’d probably go back to whistler again.

Arizona has some crazyyyyy Mexican food though. I searched online through reddit and a few other forums and this one restaurant continually came up, it ended up being a 5 minute drive from our place. This little fucking hole in the wall Mexican place but Jesus Christ it was good. Honestly probably in my top 5 meals all time

68style 08-29-2018 06:24 PM

Well then... please feel free to share!

Hondaracer 08-29-2018 06:50 PM
