I know for a fact Cain is reading this thread! Isn't that right Derek. My fellow carguys, just be careful what you post publically is all I am saying. |

^ If that's the case, it's really quite disappointing he chooses to hide behind his ticket book rather than open a dialogue with the enthusiast community to find an amicable solution for all. |
I know odds are it was just an axleback, but I have heard cars that were so loud and sounded so shitty I pulled over just to get away from them. |

I don't even know if the car I saw was pulled over or just stopped, cause I saw her driving and then parking in front of the cops. I figured there was a spotter further back that told her to stop there, but as I kept going, I never saw any spotters so I was kinda baffled. It was stupid too in that they were blocking the right lane during rush hour and it's not like they were hiding or anything. |
'99 Prelude here with Notice and Order. 1. Aftermarket exhaust too loud (Skunk2). Installed silencer. 2. High beams not working. DRL module fixed. 3. Flashing brake lights . Bulbs switched back to 7443 I need help with the VI. Stressing out bad here with no options. |

I need to talk to someone about my situation. |
I don't want to sound harsh here man, but what are you expecting for options? You can A) sell your car B) wait til you have the money to pay for your VI Taking any sort of legal action to get it dismissed will outweigh the VI costs by a large sum. If you want to take my wild card option here, sell your exhaust to someone for a stock exhaust plus whatever a VI costs. |

Kev, junk yard and put an exhuast on. |
That's not even about being "rich", its a 20 year old honda, parts aren't expensive. Its about being smarter with your money, having enough savings for a rainy day. What if his alternator stopped working? or a fuel pump? the cost of the inspection isn't what will be keeping him off the road, poor planning will be |
^expensive being the relative term here. To some a 100 dollar oil change is expensive, to others its nothing. If he thinks it's expensive and he can't afford, it then that's his reality and we shouldn't say otherwise. Best bet would be to find some junkyard parts and do it yourself if you are keen on keeping the vehicle. If not, strip the "go fast" parts and sell the vehicle as-is. |

Kev, PM me. I will help you if you need someone to guide you to fix it cheap. If you're close, I'll help you. I worked on a bunch of cars over the summer for free, one more won't kill me. |

good karma for you. |
this is the attitude that people give when someone want to come out and say something about their uncalled for VI... all 4 banger honda sound the same with a catback/axleback in terms of volume, i don't know what but sounds like cops pulled him over for having an exhaust.. fuck right off and help the guy, the fuck is wrong with people looking down just because he drives an older car |
|
You guys need to read better, he already fixed the problems he listed then above... He’s not able to pay for the VI... why would he be able to buy a parts car if he can’t afford the VI? |
Trade the axleback for a stock one + cash, sell the flashy lights, use the cash to pay for the inspection. |
