muscle cars (at least the classic ones) tend to go into hiding as soon as temps drop below 20°.

though it is interesting that there haven't been any obnoxious mustangs getting VI's.. though maybe they just aren't as vocal.

I’ve seen nothing on the mustang boards as of yet. Plus mustangs stay in Surrey anyway.

Have any "higher" end cars gotten VIs? There's an Ferrari FF or F12 in Vancouver that has straight pipes

Even if they did, rich mainlanders don’t go posting on rev scene, nor do they care about the tiny cost of a VI. We only care because we don’t have fuck you money.

Tow truck driver that towed my car said he towed a Ferrari for a box 1 the night before.

This might be unpopular to say here but I suppose issuing VI’s to stock exotics and lightly modded jeeps could be evidence for VPD to prove they aren’t just targeting lowered/modified “enthusiast” owned vehicles, which happens to be this forum’s main demographic.

Sorry to say but have to say it.. after modding each one of my previous cars for the last 20+ years I decided to keep my family friendly DD Accord stock. Felt it was time to grow out of it although I do find myself looking at coilovers, rims and the HFP kit from time to time.. but it kinda feels good man.. especially after reading all this BS anyway..

ohhh trust me they care, you should see vanpeople. that shit is exploded and also my buddy on wechat said his supercar club exploded with peoples with VI's.

Most of them have more sense than to drive their exotics around nowadays and are parking them for the season. Not sure if you gents noticed, but the number of exotics/modified/loud cars in Vancouver has gone down substantially since they started this sting operation.

Would it be safe to say they're targeting anything that's "nice" being driven by "younger" people?

I don’t think so.

What i think these Traffic officers are looking for when observing traffic for possible VIs, are the vehicles that will take the longest to inspect and fill out that big blue form, in turn giving their wives the maximum amount of time at the bar to find someone to cuck them when they get home from work.

I get it to be honest.

When the Police work you’re assigned to is on the same level of importance as the Homicide squad, CFSEU, ERT, Forensics, Cyber Crimes, Fraud, or literally any other Squad in your department, and the work you do is looked upon so positively from your peers, coming home to the woman you love get plowed by another man is well deserved after a hard days work of keeping another communities streets safe from atrocity.

If someone pays my costs, I'll tour my 68 Mustang around Vancouver and get towed for sure lol... it's got straight pipes and things like shaved reflectors, etc... I'd be a goner... but obviously I don't take it out when the weather sucks so it was parked before any of this ish started.

I told you guys, every damn day. Toyota Venza with all 4 tires like this. Yet it’s the cars with visual yet legal mods being pulled.

Did you yell at this lame ass motherfucker for driving on tires like these ? Get Johnny to do It !!!!!

westopher 11-21-2018 10:26 AM

I saw an element driving yesterday with part of the rear suspension assembly literally hanging and dragging on the road. I’m sure he didn’t get a VI

Can this be a side story as well? Seems like any tire shop would encounter a lot of issues like this with people driving around with bald tires and no repercussion from the police. Evidence wouldn't be hard to gather.

Is the tire shop legally allowed to chuck those tires away?

radioman 11-21-2018 11:44 AM

I actually want daily photos from 320icar now. Keep em coming.

I think, legally, the shop is required to throw them away. It's like if they see smt detrimental to safety, they have to inform, and replace or not let it back on the road.

Disposal levy is already baked into the price of most installs, so if they need to be replaced anyway, it's been paid for. A customer would be incredibly stupid to willingly keep tires like that.

Never underestimate how stupid the general public can be.

Anyone here who's worked retail/customer service can attest to that.

Spotted on reddit. Assuming the reindeer bus will be getting a VI. Wonder which dealership the VPD will say?

Where is this in the MVA? I can't seem to find it, can you please link me?
