I’m not sure if any of the regular legal govt stuff isn’t packaged like that unfortunately As far as I’ve seen..which is pathetic if that’s how it’s going to stay as opposed to just having the ability to package bud themselves on site by weight |
any legal place is government only. also no more weigh on site its prepackaged only lol sucks cuz stress and depressed closed down on sunday and that was the best place in the city for herb and edibles I have a list of the dankest smoke Ive come across from the legal market ill post tommorow if I have time |
Are there any shops still open in E. Van, after Stressed&Depressed closed down? |
Last page, Hastings and nanaimo. Also there is the place on the north west corner of First and Renfrew |

alot of people dont understand that once stress or any of these grey market/illegal shops reopen its gonna be only selling legal goverment stuff. all that stuff they were selling before is gonna be gone. so expect paying $$$ ur not gonna see 50-60$ a half oz or shit weighed in front of you anymore lol also edibles/concentrates are gonna be hella controlled on their dosages. which reminds me that starting tommorow you should be able to buy some edibles/concentrates online from the legal sites in BC. 10mg per edible is a fucken joke. I hit 80-100mg one dose now personally |
Man it's so disheartening to see how much worse the industry is now. I can't even blame Trudeau for all this, the BC Government has always been corrupt trash, this is blatantly obvious. I feel bad for a lot of the folks who ran dispensaries and or worked there before all the closures. Quite strange that with pot legal, I've had to resort back to the old school days of ordering my weed through a delivery service, essentially waiting for the "dealer" to come through at any given time after ordering, LOL. Crazy. |
Meh I'm fine with shutting all the illegal shops down. I grew up with gangsters and helped with their dirty grow ops. Dont be delusional who's actually running the drug trade. Were killing a revenue source for them but they're just gonna migrate over to other drugs and crimes. |

https://vancouversun.com/news/crime/...owing-licences It's all the same shit, with a different face. The only difference now is that the ol' BC Gov gets a piece of their cut, and to them, that's really all that matters here. |
I’m not sure about that story I have an acquaintance who knew the guy who ran all the Cannaclinic, apparently he had some very loose affiliations with some undesirables and the Bc govt. basically came back to him and said withdraw all your applications, you will -never- get a liscence to grow or sell going forward. Maybe with the growing side it’s changed but would have to think with the way the govt. supply chain is, it’s been cracked down big time |
Could of use a better example that an idiot HA member selling worthless medical home grows on instagram. I'm sure organized crime have slipped over to the legal side but its flat out wrong to suggest all licensed producers being controlled by criminals. I guess one positive we can take from that is they're now paying taxes, creating legal jobs and producing safer products that get scrutinized by health canada. |
I know that article isn't the best example, I just threw something out there, as much of the insider knowledge isn't available online. My point being is that there are shady people in perfectly legitimate industries, just because the crown is involved in the trade, does not mean your dollars aren't going to shitty individuals. Ultimately, I care far more to have access to an affordable product, encourage small businesses, and the addition of jobs for local Vancouverites within our previous iteration of the market, as opposed to this new zombiefied legal landscape we're now dealing with in BC. The licencing process literally encourages crony capitalism. Isn't it convenient that entities like Shopper's Drug Mart, or the Donnelly Group getting easy approval for their Hobo dispensaries? It's crony capitalism at its finest. The guise of taking "gangsters" out of the market just does not seem like a legitimate factor or reasoning in my opinion, I'm highly skeptical of that being the priority of the system now in place within this Province. Ultimately the goal was for the Province to control the market and supply and directly line their pockets. I personally do not think the government should be involved with the sale and distribution of the stuff. Levy a tax as other Provinces, that would be more than sufficient. I suppose at the end of the day I'm simply tired of the BC Government fleecing the people in this province, on every single level. From Alcohol, to gas, to insurance, ride sharing, to now marijuana. |
So bought Seth Rogans $45/eighth “Houseplant” strain full indica https://i.imgur.com/dKRUXcI.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Q7S5jbN.jpg https://i.imgur.com/0ZVrMqq.jpg It’s good. Even though I was hella disappointed with that June packaging date and also the fact that the air tight seal on the inside seemed to either be broken already or it was stuck to the cap and peeled back when I unscrewed it. If it was fresher it would honestly be a 9/10 imo. However the only thing preventing it from being bone dry is that it was so caked with THC Honestly going forward I’d probably just pay the $45 for this as opposed to trying something else just because I know this is actually half decent |

Im making sure anything I buy from the legal market now has a packaged date of 2-3 months tops. I suggest anyone to buy the boveda humifider packs and throw one into your jar/bag to keep the bud more fresh/moist longer. even if its too dry, putting one in will let it be nice and good again. I prefer the 62% and keep one in every jar of each different strain I have.. you can get them at most smoke shops. https://bovedainc.com/works/ https://hilandscigars.com/wp-content.../05/Boveda.png |
anyone try the Death Bubba yet? https://www.bccannabisstores.com/col...oducts/d-bubba from black market when i tried it from jjmeds, was some major couch lock strain, sedative if you need to pass out. they also got ak47 that use be a huge in the 2000's from its high thc...i'm sure there is higher but this was the one back in the day. https://www.bccannabisstores.com/col...ducts/atlantis |

https://www.bccannabisstores.com/pag...ax-rate-change FYI this is for anything vape related not just weed. Beginning January 1st, 2020, the BC government will be increasing the rate of PST from 7% to 20% on retail sales of extract vaporizer products and accessories. The following cannabis products will be subject to the 20% PST rate: Vape pens (including kits, disposables, and vape batteries) Pod systems Oil cartridges Dual-purpose vaporizers (i.e. vaporizers that are compatible with both oil and dried flower) Note: Dry herb-only vaporizers (i.e. vaporizers only for use with dried flower cannabis) will remain subject to the current 7% PST. GST will be calculated on the total cost of the product plus PST. For example, if a cartridge is listed at $20, the total will be $25.20. $20 + 20% PST ($4) = $24 + 5% GST ($1.20) = $25.20 |
