how do you guys clean your grinders and keep the THC? I usually just scrape it but its pretty fuckin caked on lol.

^ isopropanol alcohol. you can get it at shoppers or any drug store

use a card or a simcard and scrape as much thc as you can before you soak your grinder/screen part with iso for about 15 minutes or so.

then rinse with warm water and air dry

i do this every few months and my grinder collects thc preety dam good :)


i also like to keep my grinder in one position all the time and not have the thc collecting part upside down. i also shake my grinder for about 10-20 seconds after each time i use it and then slam it onto a hard surface so i can get as much thc i can

I tried with 99% iso and it came off super easy but i never rinsed with water, i just though let the alcohol evaporate but it just turned into a stickyish residue that i didnt even bother smoking cause it looked like shit. Will warm water change it to be more powdery?

You are supposed to take the THC out of your grinder first, then you clean with with the isopropyl alcohol. So scrape all the thc out first. Set it aside. When you think you got all the THC out, THEN you use the isopropyl to clean it. I like using a Q-tip to get into the cracks and what not.

You don't have to rinse it with soap and water, but I always do. Then let it air dry.

Ive always thought you take out the thc that you can out, then use iso to extract the rest of it. Once the grinder is clean and shiny you just reduce the iso until its just THC, but when i did it i found it unsightly and was turned off from using it.

Vansterdam said rinse the THC-ed iso in warm water so i thought that maybe that would make the extracted thc more palatable i guess. No clue been too lazy to clean the damn thing LOL

No man, Vansterdam stated to clean out as much THC as possible then ISO the grinder itself.

What do you guys do with the THC you collect?

make a super joint

rub oil on a paper, then put in weed and then sprinkle the keif and some hash on top and smoke it.

put a lil green into your bowl and sprinkle some of that thc on top.. or fill a pipe/bowl with ash and put thc on top...or use it to make cookies and shit.. smoking a full bowl of thc is waste lol but fucks you up.

if you have a 4 piece grinder you only need to soak/clean the 3 pieces in iso.. the piece/compartment that has all your thc stored you could just leave it as-is

when people make honey oil or budder, depending on what method they use..they do use iso alcohol to extract the thc but then you would have to heat it on the stove until the iso is all gone but that shit is dangerous and if you don't know what your doing you could fuck it up. maybe thats why you got it mixed up :concentrate:

also i wouldent use a q-tip. since the thc would stick to it.. paperclip works much better

I find useing a toothpick is the best and easiest thing.

I always take out the loose kief and put it in a little jar, but this is in regards to the THC caked on the grinder that you cant get off with a scraper

and when i did it i didnt like the look of it so i tossed it, it wasnt much because its just the caked on kief cause i took out the loose kief.

according to your description i presume you use iso and let it "evaporate" instead of trying to heat it on the stove or hotplate after and let it evaporate that way

cause if you did that whatever is left you could techniqually smoke it

nothing beats regular zig zags with a hemp wick. doobs taste 10x better sparked with a hemp wick. if youve never smoked it with a hemp wick youve never tasted real dealz!
