At some point.. even the most die hard liberal has to admit.. the plights of LGBTQS+ Ugandans is not our concern.
And before someone actually tries to defend “iTs nOt aS bAd aS aFrIcA!!!” My buddy from Toronto came last month and stayed at fairmont pac rim for a conference. He lived in the DRC in the Congo for 4 years and had friends/colleagues in the slums living in corrugated steel sheds and he’s like the DTES is wayyyy worse than a fucking live War-zone lol..
This country is falling apart.

I don't think it says anywhere in the article they're literally seeking out people who are HIV+?
It says they're looking to help at-risk people who might be persecuted because of their sexual orientation.
I don't see anything wrong with that at all? They're at risk of being put to death in some places, what better reason for a refugee claim than that?

At my new job im working with infinitely more intelligent/professional people with actual life experience and there are a couple, some of the very few, I’ve run into who openly admit they voted for Trudeau previously.
All of them are now saying they will no longer vote liberal going forward. While this is only an incredibly small sample size, I think it’s fairly accurate of the bigger picture and peoples changing perceptions of the liberal party.

Asian wins mayoral race in Canada's biggest city ... now there are 2 Asians in 3 of the biggest cities in Canada. (Montreal is #2 in terms of size/population)
Asian hate? China Interference? What's going on?
Edit - just discovered that 102 candidates ran for the mayor of Toronto ??!!
Winner, Olivia Chow only got 37.2% of the vote. Judging by the results, it was only a 2 horse race. Steep drop off after the 2nd candidate to 3rd candidate. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toron...ults-1.6889041

Instead, it mostly became an election to determine whether it was something Chow would lose -- she had been the front runner by a comfortable margin for some time, and the end result suggested that there had been a bit of strategic voting to make the outcome a somewhat closer race, but it wasn't nearly enough to steal the job from Chow.
What surprised me though was Chris Saccoccia's results -- #9 in the total vote count. This guy is more widely recognized as "Chris Sky", a conspiracy theorist known for his involvement in the anti-mask, anti-lockdown, COVID-19 denial and anti-vaccine movements during the COVID-19 pandemic. 
Yes, he only got 1.1% of the vote, but IMO, that is 1.1% too much.  | |
