Can I Use Body Lotion Instead of Body Wash?
 

So I ran out of body wash but I still have some body lotion. Would the body lotion get me clean enough?

I dont know if this is a joke going over my head of grey hair but....

Shaving cream is foamy soap. Hand soap maybe?

Soap cleans by degreasing breaking down oils, etc.


Lotion just covers your skin to soak in, moisturize, protect, and in some, mediacate. It won't wash off easily.



To put it in automotive terms (kind of), you wouldn't use WD-40 in your transmission, or use brake fluid in your radiator, etc.

and no lotion won't clean you. You're better off soaking in water as hot as you can and then sloughing the dead skin off with your hands or a stick

You probably have 10 different things around the house that would be better than using body lotion

Hand Soap (which is just body soap in a smaller bottle)
Facewash
Shampoo
Dish soap
Bar of soap
Laundry detergent

Hell even using just hot water and some shave foam on your balls and pits would be better than using body lotion LUL

Just take a shower without body wash.
It will be fine for a day just make sure to scrub parts of the body that's normally more dirty (Your ass) or sweat easily.

Look a lot of people don't even take showers daily.

I would post a comment that is easier to wrap hard objects in sara wrap than it is limp but some might call the comment ageist.

Lotion works from outside and absorbs in so I'd recommend swallowing said lotion and it should slowly clean you from the inside out.

You're better off using a few squirts of dish soap in a tub full of hot water. It's harsh soap so it may dry you out. Use your lotion after..
