Haha nah maybe just my spelling sucks, wasn't using pinyin, but tried to sound out the words with English rules... woo mei hao. (answer to your original response post, "I am doing good/fine") woo huuuiii xi nong nei bu yi da li a coo zi. (this is is actually, "I like your Italian car") talking abt your Mazzy Nong Zhang Hai Wu gang de va chu (see this makes perfect pronunciation sense to me lolol, "Your Shanghainese is not bad". lawl.... hahaha this is a first, speaking this dialect in "abcd" text form is already so rare, then on top of that... Im using it on RS.... |

I get the "I thought you were white" alot over the years here on rev lol |
My father is Nigerian, mother is Irish. |
Filipino Dad side - Filipino of Chinese background. Mom - Filipino with some White American and "supposedly" Spanish descent. I say supposedly because Filipinos are notorious for claiming we have Spanish blood even though 70% of us do not look like we have Spanish ancestry. End Result: Depending who I interact, I get claimed by their races. Chinese fellow will think I am Chinese; Japanese fellow will think I am; Halfer Asians will think I am halfer etc. When I used to visit my ex in-laws up north, white Canadians from the interior will think I am aboriginal. Unfortunately, wypipo and native relations in interior Canada are not that good, so I get some racism here and there. Just gotta man it up. |
Never met my father, don't know his name, so that sides unknown other than "white," my Moms Mother comes from Scottish lineage and Grandfather is English lineage. As plain as you would expect from a 5th or 6th generation Canadian. I'm 34, but I think I've felt like I was 26 from when I was 17 until about now. |

Dad - Scottish decent Mom - German/Welsh decent Basically straight up white ass Canadian. My great grand parents were the immigrants but everyone else down the line was born here. When I joined I thought I was one of like 4 white people on here. Haha!! That changed dramatically after my first RS meet. Lol! |

Chinese, speak some Cantonese My dad from suburbs of Guangzhou, my mom from a town about an hour away from Guangzhou. Dad side came in late 70s and mom side in early 80s. They met here and I was born here lol. Also found out my great-great-grandfather worked on the railroad, and settled somewhere in Saskatchewan. Then he went back to China to get married and came back to Canada, and later passed away over here. After he came back to Canada, my great-grandma was born. So she never met her dad. |
