I’ve got Sennheiser HD800s cans, anyone recommend a good amp to pair with them to get the full potential out of them?

I googled a lot but people are kind of ridiculous and I’m not spending $3,500 on a headohone amp

If you are looking for something portable I bought this for my hifiman sundara's. It provides more power than my phone or laptop could provide. It also has built in Bluetooth

You bought $2000 headphones but don't want to spend equivalent amount on amplifier? Smh.

I get that........ but we both know that the tech that goes into DAC's and amps is a little bit of snakeoil.... they all use the same ESS processors, etc. Company like McIntosh sells a $3,500 amp that gets outperformed in every test by a $100 pocket one like Manic just posted.

That said, I bought this one for fun to try... the readings and graphs produced by it were absolutely insane and for $70 I am really excited to try it out even if for nothing other than shits and giggles. Worst case scenario it's an easy portable powerhouse to carry around and get a nicer one for at home!

I was at the Sound Room on Burrard last week to check out their vinyl day. Got my records ultrasonically cleaned and listened to them being played on their reference system. I was listening to their background music. Asked where it was coming from. It was from their NAD streaming system. After getting more info on it, I purchased a cheaper, entry level, player. A Bluenote Node. Told it was one of the best bang for buck starter. I think I'm going to go down a deep rabbit hole. Now to find a good streaming service that has better than CD Quality music. I love the idea of having hi-res music and sounds paying 24/7 throughout the house. Any recommendations on a streaming service to start? Right now, I'm listening to BBC, SiriusXM, and iHeart Radio. I'm listening to Radio Paradise, which plays MQA files for free.

I'm looking into services like Tidal and Qobuz

If I really get into it, I might break down and go with a portable streaming device. Rockin' really expensive cans, lol.
