Purchased 2 costco hotdog and drink at the Richmond costco. I never really look at the food receipts but today I did and noticed a 6 cents PST charge for pop? Anyone know what this is, it works out to 4%. I understand the $0.15 charge is the 5% GST.

PST applies on pop. I guess it's easier to just charged it on the entire amount since it's a combo.

They'd have to separate the hot dog (GST only) and the pop (GST/PST) to properly implement it.

ah i didn't know about the 7% pop tax. Well they charged a total of 4%, so they separate it out in the background to roughly 75 cents for the pop.

Damn, was at Costco Bellingham this morning. Was checking out the Diet Coke supply there. There were maybe a dozen flats left. I see this guy running toward me. He grabs a flat of Diet Coke. I kid you not. So, I say, "Canadian?" He goes, "No. Mexican." jbol........ he was kidding of course. Turns out he's from the US, but his wife is Canadian. We got talking about the shortage of Diet Coke in BC. There was plenty of other drinks in stock. Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, the Mexican bottles of Coca Cola, etc. I couldn't believe the price of soda down there. So bloody expensive. Why pay more for something that tastes like shit?

They price match their own products. Difference gets put back on your card. I think up to 30 days.

I'm pretty sure you get a credit off what you orginally paid, they have a record of all the purchases on your card.

I wore my white Kirkland tee to Costco a few weeks back and my wife said I was stupid so I went and bought a grey one in retaliation. I'm still trying to get the sandals though.

Those Costco sandals are not great. At least not for me. They're sticky and not very comfortable. I wear Nuk Nuk's in the house. So comfy. When they wear out, as in not so cushy anymore, I use them for outdoor use - patio or quick check of the mailbox at front of house.


I bought two pairs because Badhobz was raving about them. He only wanted them for the logo, not the comfort or usefulness.
