Lots of new things with the truck in the last month.
Got a canopy for the bed, built a drawer system w/ a kitchen, added a dual battery system with Solar.

Next Sunday I'm hoping, I've been away every weekend since June, and will be till mid September so finding time to edit has been a bit of a hassle.

Not sure I want an off-road vibe for this payment princess. I'm not down with the 18"/All-Terrian look on this chassis. Stock is 21" and folks commonly go down to a 20" to improve ride quality and improve tire selection. I love the HOMURA 2X9G but not sure I want to roll on 22's. Currently entertaining the 20" TE37 variants. No rush as these tires have plenty of life left.

Yes, I like my wife and kids rolling around in a safe tank. It's a 2019 with 35,00kms and we saved over $22k compared to new. The only other one around was a 2021 demo with 7500kms in Winnipeg and they sold it already for $118,985(over MSRP) before I could get to it. Happy to save the $20k+ knowing Lexus quality and zero difference between the years. Wait times on these are heavy, not sure if the order bank is still open for factory orders this late in the year, and 2022 will bring a whole new generation. Purchase options are limited these days and we were in a pinch yet we ultimately got the exact combo we wanted anyway.

Normally a $4,000 manufacturer discount is common plus some dealer incentives but with all the inventory shortages it's unlikely any discounts would be at play.

I didn't use financing. Pre-owned is typically more than brand new but it's not like Lexus/Toyota to offer good rates on new to begin with.

Super jealous, that's an amazing truck!

twitchyzero 08-07-2021 05:07 PM

how does the crash rating compare to something newer? it's largely carried over from 2009?

to think that high mileage 100 series were 5-6k usd all day just last summer, not like i can afford to keep one fueled :okay:

JDMDreams 08-07-2021 07:01 PM

Yea I've always wanted a LX just can't afford to gas it

My bad - Got track inspection done today for upcoming session this weekend. Dropped the car off on Saturday afternoon and picked it up after work today in the evening. A Cayenne photobombed me on the left so I had to chop out the photo haha
