For the performance and package that it offers, it definitely offers really good value in comparison to its competitors!! The styling is also super dope IMO (not biased at all :fullofwin:) |
Got a BAKflip tonneau installed and a Whipple CAI.. if it weren’t so crappy out I’d snap a pic of the intake.. another day. https://i.imgflip.com/5ndtwc.jpg |
Returned to the shop to do further inspection on the coating. *frunk has 2yr old PPF* https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/atta...b2d-jpg.710898 |
What's the life expectancy of the film? Will it leave a mark/ colour difference I wonder once you remove it between the covered section and the regular paint, since one hasn't been exposed to the same level of UV. I'm thinking of wrapping my car but then I wonder if people really remove the film a few years later and if it will damage the paint. |
Life expectancy varies depends on where do you park your car and humidity level. if you park indoor and live in a pretty dry area. they say PPF will last for 10+ yrs. If you park outdoor and in a very humid place like Hong Kong or Toronto, most likely 3-4 years, it will turns yellow. PPF technology has become better every year, but you get what you paid for. Expensive brand like Stek, they are 100% clear film, where I bought some Korean brand, you can tell the different, mine is not 100% transparent. A lot of people paid to wrap the whole car in PPF, I don't think it is necessary. I only paid to wrap the front end. It saved me several times already, a hub cap landed on my hood at highway speed, no damage to the clear coating, so it is a good investment. Removing the film is not easy, sure you can use your own heat gun and pull the film away with a friend helping you out. You need to remove the residual and apply new coating on the panel afterward. |

applied some turtle wax hybrid ceramic spray, pretty solid beading and easy application! https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/Lm...-no?authuser=0 https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/0y...-no?authuser=0 https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/V7...-no?authuser=0 https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/ex...-no?authuser=0 |
^^ it's pretty good, I've seen about two months durability on high wear areas such as front hood and bumpers on a daily. I'm testing the turtle Wax graphine flex wax that just came out, supposedly has better durability. But you can't beat the hybrid ceramic for ease of application:fuckyea: |
