Listening to all the comments and stories by the play by play announcers and broadcasters, coming back to Toronto is a huge deal for the entire team. Fan and team relationship..... representing not only the Toronto area, but the whole nation. So cool. 670 days wait!!

On a side note, Guerrero Jr. has turned out to be quite the first baseman. When he got moved over to first base from third, he struggled. With the help of Rowdy Tellez, he has become an amazing first baseman. Almost like he was meant to play that position. I remember Tellez during a game showing Guerrero Jr. how to position himself (placement of foot) at the base to receive throws. Great teamwork and comradeship.

Golden Glove award one day? I can believe it.

Lordy, Lordy, Lordes...........2 out grand slam. And we're not talking Denny's. 6-0 Blue Jays. First inning of second game of the double header.

In god we trust, but Steven Matz, the Jays starting pitcher, not so much. If Blue Jays had decent pitching, they can make a run for the pennant. That's the chink in their armour. The offence has never been an issue and their fielding is very decent.

Oh, boy! Another two out home run for Vladdy. And, not to be outdone, George Springer makes it 8-0.

MG1 07-18-2021 01:37 PM

Sweep!

5-0 and 10-0

LOL, seems like nobody speaks english on the Blue Jays team. Most valuable people on the Blue Jays organization............ the translators. I wAnder if Hyun Jin Ryu speaks english.

MG1 07-19-2021 04:49 PM

My god, the Jays are on the other end of a good shit kicking. Down 11-0 at the top of the 3rd. Thought the bull pen sucked, but their starters are sucking monkey balls, too. The Jays are going to face the Red Sucks another 6 more times in the next little while. Boston. Damn you, Ballston.

All kidding aside, the Red Sox are no Texas Rangers. They are a solid team.

BTW, they are auctioning premium box seats to July 30th’s home (real home) game. Comes with all kinds of extras. Current bid $4300.00.

MG1 07-19-2021 05:19 PM

12-4 now........ bases loaded at bottom of 4th inning with 2 out and Vladdy is up to bat......... grand slam? Nope. If any team can mount a comeback, it's the Jays. If, the pitching stops the bleeding first.

Just snagged a Charlie Montoyo bobblehead from the 2021 Broadcast Charity Auction. Montoyo playing the bongos. So cool. I wanted the 2 pack, but got sold out while I was filling out the forms, damn it. 2 for $90.00 CAD or a single for $50.00. It's going to a good cause, plus it isn't going to be available anywhere else. Now, all I want is a Hazel Mae bobblehead, gulolol.

Home opener. Nearly two years playing in borrowed fields, the Jays are finally home. Go, Jays, GO!

Thanks for the reminder, going to turn it on while I finish the workday!

MG1 07-30-2021 03:04 PM

It looks like a good show........ damn, open roof and CN Tower right there. So cool. I think I'm getting emotional.............. some pretty hot nurses on the field.

I wAnder who's going to perform the national anthem.

Kind of weird to think of this at this time, but I hope Buck Martinez stays forever a Blue Jays commentator. "Get up, ball, get up........ get out of here!!!"

MG1 07-30-2021 03:11 PM

Such a beautiful stadium.

MG1 07-30-2021 03:17 PM

Wow, an all mens choir. Excellent! Mens choirs are the best. A very unique sound. Kind of sends shivers up and down the spine. These guys are really good, too. Wow! Good choice Blue Jays organizers.

The Home Plate Lady, ftmfw!

MG1 07-30-2021 05:57 PM

Oh wow, what a dumb defensive move by the Jays. Bichette snags a base hit on the third base side of short stop, throws the ball a long ways cross field to first. The throw is off and the ball goes into foul territory. The catcher, Reese McGuire, runs over to first base to cover Guerrero Jr. (first baseman). Runner on first runs to second, then realizes he can get to third. Third base coach is like a giddy teenage girl at a school dance............. go, go, go............ 'cause nobody is at the plate, lol. A run scores. Like, WTF?

Young team............ (No Excuses banner, lol). Still leading 6-3 in the bottom of 8th.

MG1 07-30-2021 06:08 PM

I wish I was more on the ball, when the Blue Jays did the cut out thing. It was a great fundraiser idea. I would have loved to be part of that. It was announced afterward, that your cutout would be returned to you after the Jays were finished with the home away from home, stadium(s). Buffalo and Dunedin. Some are at Toronto today. Upper deck, where it is closed to fans.

Still 6-3 at the top of 9th with the closer, Romano, at the mound. Don't let this one get away.......... I have little faith in the bull pen.

MG1 07-30-2021 06:23 PM

AND............ it's over. What an amazing catch by Espinal. Barehands a pop up fly. The only way to get it. Damn. It got a little hairy at the end, but the Jays win 6-4.

This is what the Jays are about............ letter from Bo Bichette to Toronto. A must read.

Jays have so much positive energy right now. The timing of it all. The homecoming and the acquisition of some decent players (all much needed pitchers). Looks like the management and owners (Rogers Communications) is seriously wanting to go deep, this season.

One of those new players was the starting pitcher in todays game. So glad they're planning on getting rid of some "deadwood" in the name of Chatwood.......... that pitcher cost us some important games earlier on this season.

Hopefully, if things go well, the Jays will sweep the Kansas City Royals today. Up 5-0 at the bottom of the 5th. And, this is without their all star hitter, Guerrero Jr.

The little kid who caught that foul ball up in the upper level. Holy shit. That blonde sitting next to him............ :megusta: Richmond Nightmarket material right there, gulolol.

MG1 08-06-2021 06:44 PM

Blue Jays ahead 12-4 on the Red Sox. Boston sends in a position player to pitch in the 8th inning. 37 mph pitches lobbed in. You'd think the Jays would blow it out of the park. Nope. It's way too hard for the hitters who are used to 95 to 100 mph pitches to hit anything with decent distance.

MG1 08-07-2021 01:50 PM

Wow, it's a double header today in Toronto. Playing the pesky Red Sox. Score is tied 0-0 right down to the bottom of the 7th and final inning (because of double header). There was a bit of a controversy in the top of the 6th. Blue Jays should have gotten a double play to end the inning, but the officials and review officials back in New York deemed the runner to be safe at first. The Boston runner, Alex Verdugo, jumped over first base and missed it. Blue Jays first baseman, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. caught the baseball, but his foot was off the bag as he stretched to catch the ball. Thing is, Gurriel touched the bag afterward before Verdugo goes back to touch first base. After review, Verdugo is called safe - I call fullshit!

Anyway, it's the bottom of the 7th and final inning. Still scoreless. Red Sox pitcher, Matt Barnes, is MLB's best closer. First pitch and Marcus Semien hits it out of the park! Jays win it, just like that. Marcus gets the home run jacket, lol.

Story behind the jacket is a special jacket that has all the countries that are represented on the team. This team is so special. The team has so much fun together, like the time they tape Vladdy to a chair to keep him from harassing and trolling the rest of the team on his, "day off." The team is so elated that they're home.

https://theathletic.com/2754993/2021...e-blue-jacket/

Game two of today's double header starts at 4:07 pm.

Win or lose, this team is awesome.

MG1 08-08-2021 07:26 PM

Was watching the game this morning. Star pitcher, Hyun Jin Ryu, shit the bed. They were leading 1-0, but Boston does what they do best, fuck up the jays. Ryu loads up the bases and Montoyo pulls him before too much damage is done. Hyun Jin's worse game was giving up ten hits. Top of the 4th and he's already at ten hits. They get out of the 4th inning with a 2-7 deficit. I gave up and went to the Downtown laundromat. I get out of there just to see what the results were. "Hey, Siri, who won the Blue Jays game!" "The Blue Jays edged out the Red Sox........." I was like WTF? 9-8 Final. I have to watch how they did it.

"It ain't over till it's over." Yogi Berra, god rest his soul.

MG1 08-08-2021 07:40 PM

Damn, 9 wins out of 11 games since coming home to Toronto.

MG1 08-08-2021 07:44 PM

Looking forward to the 12th of August. That's when the Jays play the Angels. Ohtani to pitch that day. Ohtani vs Guerrero. Damn, damn, and thrippple damn........

That's appointment hour viewing. Can't wait.

MG1 08-11-2021 06:21 PM

Holy, reclining Buddha, that Shohei Ohtani is one magnetic force of a man (no homo). He is definitely not your average Asian male. 6 ft 4, 210 lbs, and built like a tank. He can pitch (99 mph fast ball when he was in high school!). He can hit (most home runs in MLB, so far). And, he can run like a deer (turned a single into a triple last game against the Jays).

In the second double header game from last night, Jays were ahead 4-0. In the bottom of 7th and final inning of the game, the Angels loaded the bases with Shohei up to plate as the tying run. It was like the "Mighty Casey at Bat," scenario. Pitcher was that weirdo pitcher, Jordan Romano. Just like the story of Casey, Romano strikes Ohtani out.

Interesting fact, the first game of yesterday's double header was the fourth home game away from home for the Jays. This because of a game that had to be made up due to being postponed earlier this season.

Today's game features the former Vancouver Canadians pitcher, Alek Manoah. Dude is another big man. He was recently put on the ten day IL from slipping on the stairs in the dugout at Sahlen Field. He's totally recovered and pitching really well. Jays are, as we speak, ahead 2-0 due to solo home runs from Gurriel Jr. and Springer.

Go, Jays, GO!

MG1 08-11-2021 06:32 PM

Damn, Ohtani (Big Valley) just hit a straight away, centre field home run. His 38th and just like that, the game is tied.

MG1 08-11-2021 07:21 PM

Bases loaded and Guerrero is up to bat. It's the Jays' version of The Great Casey at Bat.......... and he pops it up. Guerrero really needed this. He is going through a bit of a drought. He's only 4 runs behind league leading Shohei Ohtani. It would have been great to get a Grand Slam.

However, it was one out and next up to bat is Teoscar Hernandez. He got the Denny's Grand Slam.

6 ft 5 Manoah has a damn good two seamer. And that slider once in a while to mess with the batters. Jays up 7-2 bottom of 5th.

Go, Jays, GO!

MG1 08-11-2021 07:47 PM

Another reason to fear the Blue Jays' star pitcher, Manoah. Dude just hit the Angels' player on the forearm. 5th player he's hit in his 11 game debut in the big league. Arm bruised up immediately. Hopefully, the X-Rays don't show any fractures. It was brutal. Better the arm than elsewhere, I guess.

MG1 08-12-2021 06:27 PM

Angels third base coach, Butterfield leaves the game for no apparent reason. Jays pitcher is shitting the bed. Ohtani a double and on base again in the second. Bases loaded with one out. Gotta pull the pitcher. Doesn't matter if the bull pen isn't ready.
