W - T - F? Lions getting bitch slapped by the Roughriders.
Michael Reilly not playing today so noob QB comes in. Lions were down 28-0. Then, out of nowhere, the Canadian born QB throws a strike. They go for a two pointer and fail. Just before then of the first half, the Lions go for a field goal. This kicker is from Japan of all places. He punches it in for three points. What?
The punter for BC is from Australia. Damn.
BC is clawing their way back............

Michael Reilly comes onto the field in the second half. All of a sudden, the Lions have life. T. J. Lee intercepts a Fajardo throw and gains some decent yards. Damn.

Damn, the fans are controlling the game. BC Lions cannot hear the count. Time count violation. Even with an injured elbow, Reilly is getting it done. Completing passes with less than stellar accuracy and speed.

Wow, I thought the Riders got an interception, but upon review it was deemed an incomplete pass. 4 minutes to go in the game and Yamasaki goes for a field goal and misses. One point, so lions are 9 points behind.
Reilly out of the game. The rookie Canadian QB, Nathan Rourke, back in and he throws a strike to Burnham........... and another one for a TD!!!!!! A Canadian QB is a rarity and this youngster is stepping up. 33-29. Damn..........

Wow, BC Lions coach........... what the hell? 3rd down with a yard and a half to go and the Lions go for it. WHY??? Even Wally Buono would never take that kind of a gamble. Turnover on downs when they didn't have to.
No wAnder this coach lost so many games as head coach of Ottawa Redblacks in 2019. 15 losses and 3 wins..........

I remember meeting Bo when he was in middle school. Dude was huge compared to everybody else. I did not know he had a brother who plays for Saskatchewan. When Bo played for W. J. Mouat (Abbotsford), everybody knew he was destined to play professionally. So glad he's back playing for BC.

Dickenson, the master, calls for a third and long two yarder. First down completion and they're knocking on the door........... BC stops them. Calgary decides to attempt a field goal. 3 minutes to go. Dickensen for those who don't follow the Lions, was a pretty good QB for the Lions.
15-9 Lions lead with 2:41left to play. Eat up the clock and take it down the field, just in case.

Next game is Thursday against the Elks............ I guess I'll eventually get used to calling them that, instead of the Eskimos. Actually, Elk does sound better. I guess it's like the Leafs (Leaves), it shouldn't be Elks, but Elk. The Elk are in town......... or the Elks are in town.
