You get both pre/post race shows and you can also start from the beginning while it is live with F1TV Pro.

Great68 05-26-2022 07:43 AM

Looks like I no longer need the TSN package on my cable!

There are a couple caveats.

The SkyF1 pre-post race coverage is a LOT better than the F1TV crew. So if you enjoy the Sky pre-post race shows like I do, you may want to consider keeping TSN. My usual routine is watch TSN until the race starts, and then switch back to TSN after the checkered flag.

Also, I use the Roku app to watch on my TV and it does NOT allow you to start watching from the beginning if the race is still live. That is the one annoyance. However I believe other platforms can do it? Reddit F1TV sub is a great resource for the ins and outs of each platform.

I heard you can switch the audio stream on the F1 app to listen to the sky team, sure we don't get the pre/post race show so that's something to consider

I love the Sky Team features, video's and interviews. I watch it all. This is what stopped me from subbing to F1TV.

same here, but I still use F1TV to watch the actual race. you can choose from SkyTV commentary, or F1TV commentary (which isn't bad tbh). plus no commercials and better picture resolution.

watching both practices in Monaco, these stupid chicanes down by the water are ridiculous... like i get the history of those points and the need for them but that first one, any sort of late breaking and you're cutting it

TypeRNammer 05-27-2022 04:19 PM

Not sure what to think of this commercial, a lot of crypto terms being tossed around haha

Who does the commentary for F1TV? Can't imagine watching without Ted Kravitz screaming reports from the pit lane and Martin Brundle dryly calling out bad decisions by drivers (and of course his pit walks before races are hilarious)

TypeRNammer 05-28-2022 11:36 AM

Looks like the folks at McLaren aren't too happy about Danny Ricciardo. Totally underperforming compared to Lando every race.

Team Ferrari fucked up haha.

Leclerc led from the pole and screamed in rage when told to pit for a second tire change on Lap 22 — at the same time as Sainz. His engineer realized the mistake and yelled "stay out!" but it was too late and Leclerc returned to the track in fourth.

What are you doing?" Leclerc shouted.

After the race, he lectured Ferrari again.

"No words, no words. We cannot do that," he radioed.

"It was a freaking disaster today," Leclerc said after. "The win was clearly in our hands. We had the performance, we had everything. I just don't really understand the call."

Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto accepted the team made the wrong call for Leclerc.

Checo and team jumps into the pool!

dark0821 05-29-2022 04:49 PM

Feel so good for Checo, but horrible for Leclerc.

Ahh well, it's all part of the sport.

Inters and full wet tyres for what? Monaco is only good when it's wet and they wouldn't race in a drizzle

TypeRNammer 05-29-2022 09:13 PM

Link for the full Monaco full race, little bit of digging on Reddit but managed to find it.

Watchers beware, it's over 3 hours long as it includes the delays in the beginning

EDIT: as usual, tons of NSFW pop up ads

Hondaracer 05-30-2022 06:44 AM

Monaco is a pretty meh track. Even in dry conditions only 1 DRS zone and what like 2 spots to pass?

A classic track and visually obviously one of the best but in terms of racing it’s always been pretty boring. And with the cars being longer than ever I think it becomes even harder to pass
