Good quali for Albon, that Williams has some pace in the straights.

I LOL'd too when I heard Leclerc asking about the tires :lawl:

EDIT: Here's the radio in question

Good job Ferrari! Amazing fantastic work! :lol

RB came back with a rocket after the break and Ferrari has leaned nothing. Done deal now, so much for Mercedes coming back for some wins in the second half when Max can destroy the field from 14th. :fuckthatshit:

Hamilton accepts blame for the crash with Alonso.

Wow, look at Hamilton’s car in mid air haha:

The two were disputing second place at the time, and the incident caused Hamilton's retirement after less than a lap and made Spaniard Alonso drop to fourth after he had moved up from third to second at the start.
However, Hamilton said the incident was "definitely my fault", adding: "Just didn't leave quite enough space. Wasn't intentional. Just happened."
His Mercedes went up on two wheels and Hamilton said he "nearly broke my back coming down".
He added: "I remember just looking at the ground so I knew I was quite high. Definitely high. Grateful to be alive and in shape."

Alonso had some choice words for Hamilton saying: "What an idiot! Closing the door from the outside. We had a mega start but yeah. This guy only knows how to drive starting first." :lawl:

Ferrari is too much of a joke as always, just a reminder of how they failed Alonso and Vettel during their prime.

Adrian Newey, not "just" any one of their engineers.

I'm far from an F1 expert but Mercedes and Ferrari don't have the means to have people that can figure out how to make their car faster? How can Red Bull be that much better?

There simply no one that can match what Adrian Newey has done for aerodynamics and car design. He didn't just win with Red Bull, he won with Williams and McLaren, total of 12 championships with his cars.

That truly is amazing in this day and age lol. At this point I thought computers would be giving the blueprint for the best way to go about aerodynamics in a race car

The teams are actually limited in how much computing power and aero tunnel time they can use to model their cars as part of the regulation.

Q was fun to watch. The Red Bulls oversteer like crazy but look at those times. The Ferraris are more fun to watch but less chaotic looking (and a hundredth slower)

Poor Lewis gets fucked by Perez crashing during his final lap LUL

EvoFire 09-04-2022 07:27 AM

Wow Ferrari.... You had one job.... How can you screw up pitstops so massively.

sonick 09-04-2022 09:15 AM

Exciting strategy-based race today.

So unfortunate for the safety cars, Hamilton could've won it.

Can't blame the team for not swapping Hamilton to soft with Russell, that was a gamble that paid off.

George was the smart one making the call to pit for softs

It was just another Abu Dhabi moment for Lewis.

After listening to the radio, seemed like Lewis wanted to use George as a buffer.

StylinRed 09-04-2022 11:04 PM

It was a fun race but Max wasn't even pushing and ended up 4 seconds ahead, even if Merc got the right strategy down Max would likely have walked em anyhow

Koflach 09-05-2022 12:12 PM

I don't see how Mattia Binotto can keep his job after this season. TOo many unforced errors.
