winnipeg also much better coverage on our receivers and we did on theirs that's for sure too. you could notice in the play call how much they went to the run game....kids got a great arm, just needs to get used to the receivers and how they run their routes.....he's also not dealing with fast NFL caliber targets either |
Kid was better but couldn't get the W from Ottawa ... but the Redblacks are pretty good this year. Lions are 5-6 right now, not looking like BC will play in the Grey Cup at home :okay: But good thing about CFL is that 6 out of the 9 teams (I think) are in the playoffs. Once you're in ... anything can happen. |
Next BC Lions game is at Royal Athletic Park in Victoria, BC vs the Ottawa Redblacks. Game time 4:00 pm. |
Back in the winning ways ... Rourke was instrumental in getting a convincing W. Let's hope the team is back on track. |
Another win for the BC Lions on Friday vs. the #1 team in the East, the Alouettes. Great W. And with that, for the time being at least, Lions are #1 in the West. |
Addition of Betts helps. The defence is getting better at tackling, but still some work to be done. The game wasn't a convincing win. Some turnovers and plays that could have gone very wrong. The Mount Royal Birds shot themselves in the foot a few times. Anyway, Vernon, "god loves me more than you," Adams Jr. is itching to play. He looked okay in the end. https://www.peacearchnews.com/sports...t-home-7522594 Just put that in there, 'cause I knew him when he was a kid (actually he was a man compared to the other 13-14 year old kids). |

hey, where ya been? you can't leave me alone here as oldest guy. |
Hard L last night vs. Hamilton in OT. Both teams played well, except 2nd half Lions defense could have been better. Tied then BC got a FG in OT. Ticats got a TD after an overturned PI call gave them a new set of downs at the 1 yrd line. |
The defence has been the weak link for quite some time. Couldn't tackle anything. That aspect has improved lately, but last night's loss was due to a call that should not have been overturned. As long as the Lions get into the playoffs, there's still hope. One game decides it - not like Stanley Cup playoffs (best of 7). Next game, we might see god's boy, Adams Jr., start the game. The power of god................ 'cause he's been chosen by god. god bless.............. |

It’s hard to say. I could be wrong, but the chemistry isn’t there. Some of the pass attempts have been off. He’s nowhere where he was before the NFL stint. Home town boy who really wants to do well. Trying too hard. Maybe receivers are more used to the other guy. I think they need to let Adams Jr. take some pressure off Rourke. Rivalry can be a good thing. Rapport with receivers……….. not sure. If I were a real fan, I’d go see them practice……… you know, drones, jbol. |
Not doing well ... limping into the playoffs. Season falling apart, they were suppose to go to the Grey Cup and win it at home. Still possible BUT ... |
Lions going with Adams Jr for final regular season at QB and Rourke on the bench. https://www.tsn.ca/cfl/video/adams-j...finale~3011207 |

It's about time that the Lions coaching staff started V.A. instead of Rourke! They should have started Adams Jr. in their last game against Saskatchewan. Rourke has not been playing well. -overthrowing to receivers. Time for VA to help the Lions win a game to get some momentum going into the playoffs. |
Such a missed opportunity for Doman now not being able to host a playoff game. Man, like the CFL has always been in tough for the last 20 years but it feels as fragile as ever with the 2 Alberta teams being irrelevant, they are kind of what proppped up the CFL Doman had a chance to spark interest on the west coast but then the team went and shit the bed :/ |
I think Vernon Adams Jr won back the starting QB job. He was 26-36 385 yds 2 TD, 2 INT (edited) |
How do you go 26-26 and get 2 INT's lol |

Go Lions go! VA Jr. should be the starting quarterback in their playoff road game. No doubt about it. Adams played well enough in the win against Montreal to be the starting QB. Lions will either play the Rough riders or Bombers in Saskatchewan or Manitoba: The Lions’ opponent for the Western Semi-Final won’t be known until next week as both the Blue Bombers and Roughriders are on a bye and back in action one week from Saturday. The Bombers would lock up first place and a bye to the Division Final with a win or tie against the Alouettes (NOON PT, CTV). With a Bomber loss, Saskatchewan would claim first place by defeating Calgary (October 26th, 4:00 pm, TSN) and setting up a Lions’ visit to Manitoba on November 2. |
The rapport between receivers and Rourke not great. What I find great about the situation is if one of them gets injured, the other can step in and get it done. Win or lose, the Grey Cup is here in Vancouver. It's too bad the playoff series are away games. That's gonna be tough. They got themselves in this predicament. Nobody else to blame. Roar Lions, ROAR!!! |
This game rocks |
So many hospital balls thrown by these QBs |
Not looking good........ oh wells. Wind and Fans at Mosaic. I can get work done next weekend, jbol. I feel for Doman. He deserves better. Team let him down. That's sports................ Where's god now, Adams Jr.? |
