So most of the subreddits have banned twitter links after Elon decided to portray himself as a Nazi at the inauguration. I don't know how many, but all the ones I visit have done it.
I don't know what kind of effect this will have.. Many people who were reluctant to switch to Bluesky will be forced to if a lot of their readership can't even see their tweets
Just another update to the original intent of the OP, as the next step in twitter's self destruction.
There's talk of banning it in EU as well, due to non compliance to the Digital Services Act they are bound to.

Threads is garbage for me, it's all the baitiest bait from my IG algorithm of whenever I look at boobies too long. Nothing useful there
Bluesky is more controllable, and the starter packs people make are useful. I like being able to "follow" a group that is separate from your main feed. But a lot of the refugees from twitter are just complaining about people still on twitter, so I have to mute quite a few of them (since I am not technically following them I can't unfollow them in that group)

It's a massive revenue generating machine... it's helped him topple possibly 3 governments in total in his favour and increased the value of his companies 50 fold over the $ he's put into right wing politics despite their products not actually really changing.

I've never used twitter. I just deleted FB. FB hasn't been useful since 2018 really.

FB marketplace is the main function for most people I'd say. Old geezers like me still prefer it for sharing photos and creating albums.
Twitter I use for only two things: hockey content, dog content.

I use twitter for football and wrestling stuff and video games. I have switched to bluesky for football and gaming, but all the wrestling people I follow are Japanese and they don't know or care about the Nazi shit so they aren't moving anytime soon.
