I don't frequent this thread but has this topic of AI been discussed?
Just saw on 60 minutes the 'dirty' side of AI. Apparently, this is the new sweatshop as Microsoft, Google, Apple and Intel hire people in Kenya to sit in front of computers all day to teach AI algorithms, at $2 per hour of labour. Of course, these big companies hire or 'outsource' the dirty work like Apple and Nike does China, Bangladesh, India, etc.
I skimmed the video. It's a mechanical turk article with an AI spin to make it current. There's probably a pay range starting at $2, but there's also middle-men that employ people and take a significant cut.
CBC did a show on a guy who can't find a job.
turns out it was all AI
A series of AI-generated videos that show a white man complaining about how difficult it is to get a job in Canada have been taken down by TikTok, following inquiries made by the CBC News Visual Investigations team.
In one video, he complains he can't get a job because people from India have taken them all, particularly at Tim Hortons. He claims that he applied for a job at the doughnut shop and was asked if he spoke Punjabi.

The system in Canada is absolutely drooling for hate crimes commited by white men against Indians or Sikhs... X has so many fake, propped-up influencer accounts that never, ever get banned for non-stop Indian and immigrant hate. I can think of a number of influencers on Twitter and YouTube that stir up a lot of hate against some groups, especially Muslims, Indians and Sikhs, and not others...
Yet I say I'm never taking the "vaccine" and I've mentioned I think the proud Jewish people have a ton of power.... annnnnnnnnd I'm banned everywhere online.
