The 1Ms prices hasn’t changed since they were released. Insane that they still command such values for what is literally a parts bin special

How hard was it to get one of those new? Were they limted or just never sold in great numbers?

We’re not ballers, we’re just old as dirt now. I don’t think any regulars are sub 25, hell maybe even 30 at this point! Revscene denture crew checking in

There were 220 in Canada.
You could do up a fully built 135i for a whole lot less money, and even go as far as building a body clone - but that's not really what this car is.
Historical prices on them have ranged from over MSRP new, to big $ collector grade cars. They've never really traded for less than original MSRP.
Type of car that's tough for some gearhead $$$ brains to accept - i could have bought a much newer M2 comp for the same money. I like these types of cars though (my car taste is all pretty unique low production stuff). I love when big OEM's do small special runs.
Go watch some historical reviews. These were universally loved when new. I've been rewatching those reviews for the past 13 years.
Not sure if it's a forever car - i don't really have room for more of those, but it's special and I'm going to give it a good long chance to make it's case to stay in the garage.

That is very, very sexy. I love those fenders.
Took the S2000 out for it's first track foray.
Turns out that half life rear (street) pads only good for 2.5 sessions of not even pushing that hard.
Oops. Did a trackside brake pad change and managed to get home safely.

It was built with leftover parts and basically an after hours project by BMW engineers when the people who held those jobs still liked cars.

It’s the last of the good ole bmw. Hydraulic steering, great chassis and overall BMW feel. Modern day bmw is more akin to a Lexus than this.

Same car listed in FB Marketplace ad, went down ~$7K to $79,900, dealer, Park Shore BMW in North Van. Now that's more affordable ... haha https://www.autotrader.ca/a/bmw/m/no...x=50&modalXS=1 https://www.parkshorebmw.com/used/20...d10628585.html

Something different, finally took the bike out....probably the first decent ride in a decade...
basically did Burnaby City Hall -> Canada Place -> Stanley Park Loop -> English Bay
Left maybe at 9:30am after dropping off the kiddos, and didn't make it till like 1pm... mostly downhill thank god....
Couldnt make it back... went home by skytrain all the way to Edmonds
Lol still sore.... I remember I was able to do the full loop and back, but I guess I am no longer Grade 11/12 lmao....
The bike held up great considering it has been neglected, basically pumped up the tires and was good to go!

The bike held up great considering it has been neglected, basically pumped up the tires and was good to go! | I bike to pick up my eldest from daycare almost everyday. The first ride was challenging and I was huffing and puffing there and back. The ride yesterday was fine. It almost felt like a switch flipped on and my body was like, ok the weather is good and this is a thing again, we doing this.

if i sit my fat ass on a bike right now I'm pretty sure ill 1) collapse the suspension 2) crash it into a kid (intentional or not)

Ebike is good shit though. I got my Costco ebike and it can go roughly 30-40kms on one charge. Enough to get me to the gym without any peddling for like 1 week
