They just have all these offensive weapons that can only be denied for so long. Absolutely beatable, but shit like this will steal them games (or in this case get to OT at least)
No real surprises so far in terms of outcomes. Perhaps some would say the Jets vs Blues but as good as they've been all year they're a team I just don't trust in the playoffs so by that account the series at 2-2 doesn't shock me one bit.

Tocchet brought a good defensive structure to the Canucks.
-will be sorely missed.
-very interesting to see what happens now in terms of hiring a new head coach and assistant coaches.
I hate to think what happens to this franchise in the next two years.
My guess is that Quinn is having some interesting discussions with his brothers and his parents in Michigan now. Two more seasons as our team captain?
Hughes liked playing for Tocchet. I hope that I am wrong about this. My gut feeling is that Hughes will not be with the Canucks for a rebuild starting with new coaching staff, new playing system, and new team mates.

Is it time for a full rebuild? Trade Hughes to the highest bidder one day for prospects and draft picks while he is still under contract?
Pretty sure he didn't agree with the way the team was going. Also EP40 is not a Tocchet player and the fact he has to retrain EP40 brain is just too much work.
Canucks have only two core guys left (not including Demko). I think it's safe to say Canucks are not contenders anytime soon. Better off trading Hughes now since he is healthy and value is high. Lots of team will take him @7.8M and give them a chance of winning the cup.

We're such a joke of a franchise, the coach doesn't even want to be here, that speaks a lot.
It goes back to my question, what the hell is wrong with this franchise and this city that guys don't want to be here?

Both goalies in this Laffs/Sens series are so great and fun to watch. Just stone walls barely having to move. It will make watching Packard play extra painful later
Thats what Hughes will be saying in a few years. If there is one thing about Hughes he is all about Family. He was raised right and wouldn't be surprised if he takes a pay cut to play with his brothers.
