The circumstances - 2 brothers, together for sister's wedding on Friday (today), hit by a driver DUI. Beyond sad ... absolutely tragic for the Gaudreau family.

two kids 2 and under, both Johnny and his bro were groomsmen for their sister. Talk about beyond horrible and sad.
The only good thing about it is this happen in the US and for a fact this guy will get life in prison. I had a buddy killed by a drunk driver she was 16 at the time and she didn't even have to spend a day in prison and only received a 2 year driving ban..

i doubt the guy will get life in prison. usually vehicular homicide is treated far below something like first or second degree murder. the alcohol factor might make it worse, but killing someone riding a bicycle is usually a slap on the wrist. maybe since it's a higher profile case it will be different.
he told the officer he had 4-5 beers which you just know is going to be untrue. when you have 3 beers you tell the officer you had 1-2, when you had 10 beers you tell the officer you had 4-5.

Plenty of pain being felt in Calgary now among the fans there as Gaudreau played for the Flames for nine seasons.
I have a friend, born and raised in Calgary, who is heartbroken now. An unimaginable tragedy for the Gaudreau family.
The Calgary radio show “The Big Show” is focussed solely on this terrible news now.
One of the radio show hosts played an audio clip of one of Johnny’s goals in a playoff game for the Flames. It was the “The Big Show” way of honouring the life of Johnny as an all star NHL player.
