It's funny how tastes/fashion come full circle.
I remember when we transitioned away from this jersey people thought it looked dated and ugly, a very 80's aesthetic that wasn't appealing when we made the change in the mid 90's to the Orca.
Now we love the old design, and see how sick it looks.

I agree.. When I first saw the new black skates I couldn't believe how good they looked. I was such a hater back in the day lol
But I never really thought of WHY they looked so much better. Pointing out that they dropped all the white and cleaned it up a bit helped it make sense.
Lol I never realized Keanu Reeves was a Goalie before, a starter at that and was supposed to tryout with the Windsor Spitfire back in the day. He signed a one day deal with the team. Maybe he can come in as our backup.

i was thinking about how this current skate jersey would work in white away colours...and it just absolutely doesn't look menacing at all.

The whale has been in use longer than the skate. The colors and the orca are actually fitting for us. While I like the black skate as a Third/Alternate, the whale should stay as the primary. Entire generations of kids/fans have grown up with it. I can't even imagine the Sedins in anything other than the whale.
Isn't that exactly what they did last year? I mean they didn't have him LTIR for the WHOLE season but he came back one or two games before playoff and then he pulled something and reinjured himself.
he's in his hometown for his sister's wedding tomorrow and the accident occurred minutes away from his family home. if it's true, that's very sad.
what's crazy is that someone said it on reddit as a comment, that Gaudreau and his brother got hit by a car while on their bikes, before the first news report of 2 cyclists being killed.
if any family, friend, or teammate even messaged or talked to him once in the evening, i'm sure someone would've said "no, it's not true, i just talked to him". so, the fact no one's said a damn thing, doesn't look good.
for someone to make up the story, they'd have to have known about the cyclists being hit by a car before anybody else, and then decide to say it's Gaudreau. but why...?
