It's wild that Brad Marchand, the C, is on the trade board. Apparently, one yr left on his contract at like $6.1M AAV cap hit ... if you can separate him from all the tongue licking, weird sh*t, that's a pretty good player for that amount!

-just heard Rick Bowness of the Sportsnet trade deadline panel talk about the chances of Boeser getting traded.
It does not look good in terms of a trade.
Bowness said that if Boeser is traded, Tocchet would have told him to leave the ice now during today's morning skate. -wanna make sure a player is healthy before he is traded haha.
-still time before the trade deadline for a deal to get done.

either the Canucks are asking wayyy to much in return for Boeser, or literally no team thinks Boeser is worth it for a playoff push or his contract of 8x8. So they probably lose him for nothing like Tanev lol.
He is not worth 8 mill. Debrusk makes 5.5M and is tied with Boeser in points and is not a -20!

You are probably right as well. I hope Hughes is smart enough to see this and demand a trade. He deserves a chance at a cup and not to stick here and always be stuck in the middle.

I already talked to a friend during the week that the absolute worst thing this team could do is stand pat. Fucking bravo. I too suspect this is Aquaman interfering saying to push for the playoffs because he wants that revenue. I guess it could have been worse had we sold off assets for some meaningless rentals. I sincerely hope we don't make the playoffs because we'll just embarrass ourselves.

I give credit to Linden. He is probably laughing right now. Linden said rebuild, but aquaman didn't agree and let him go. Sure get a couple playoff games and get knocked out. Then pay more money next yr for seasons tickets. Lol
