Is that what they are called? Some old white lady asked me what i was shooting, i said a bird with his face smooshed in. She asked if i was a birder, i said i hate birds….. she walked away like uhhhh ill just leave now.
OM is micro 4/3rds so you actually got a 200-800!!!! Show those pricks whos boss!
I'm still unsure what I'm trying to achieve with this setup, but I can add a 1.4x teleconverter on top which will get me 1120mm FF reach in a relatively portable setup.
It actually makes a lot of sense. The older we get, the more important weight and portability is when you go on these “photo walks”
Lugging around a full frame body + a 600mm f4 prime and tripod while you “hike” is insane.
Thats why im keeping my 100-400, its so light and portable. When i go actual hiking, ill just bring that and my 10-18 sigma and i got everything covered. Leaving this bazooka tube at home.

FF for life~!

the previous model is the OG . tons of wildlife vloggers use the P1000.
Long story short, I rescued a new old-stock Olympus lens in Walmart's clearance section and bought a cheap body to try out the platform. The lens was supposed to be a quick flip but now I'm more than a few lenses deep

Nah I'm not that hardcore, and I'm pretty sure the manual focus clutch on the Oly lenses don't count
My god the shots i got today are utterly insane. Scroll all the way down and you’ll see this heron landing, the damn thing looks so alien especially in the fog this afternoon.
For you hardcore photography guys: Do you guys notice any read/write performance differences between using a full-sized SD card vs. SDXC with an adapter?

I think it comes into play when you are doing burst photos of wildlife/sports/action (as you'll run out of buffer and then take a long time for the camera to purge onto the SD card). Otherwise, if you're doing single shot you'll be okay.
i would say technically it would or could be slower if you used an adapter, BUT, would you notice it? i doubt it. its like asking me if i notice that my shitty $29.99 4G phone plan takes longer to make a phone call.
