Looks like we have a resident birder here. I saw this bird in my backyard - what is it? |

^ there are apps that identifies birds, birders can vouch whether they are any good. I understand there are a few out there.
I ran it through and I'm getting 'generic small bird with orange forehead'.

I believe that’s an orange head trash pecker. I’m an expert on birds.

Google AI says "...likely a Pine Grosbeak (Pinicola enucleator). It is a large finch found in coniferous forests, particularly in northern regions"

ChatGPT gave me "White-crowned Sparrow" when I asked before posting here, but I ran it again just now and it said "House Finch" which sounds incredibly generic |

How do you always come across so many coyotes?

I don’t know.. I’m just naturally good with wild animals I guess. forest puppies seem to love me (or maybe they are just trying to eat me cuz I’m fat and always smell like LA chicken)

the only time I ever saw coyotes was super early in the morning when less humans are out and about. other than that, perhaps at the dyke occasionally. so it would make sense since hobz is an old fart waking up naturally around 5:30am to grumble while taking photos on his own.

One time I came home late with a bag of McNuggets. As soon as I stepped out of the car, I saw two raccoons standing behind a tree looking at me lol. They could probably smell em!

Ireland’s food is a huge step up from England imo. Which isn’t saying much but it’s actually generally palatable lol
You do a day trip from Belfast to Giants causeway?

Yeah we had a car, stayed in Belfast and drove up for the day. Shocking how much Belfast actually looks like England...I mean technically they're the same country I guess but still was surprised how many curry shops there were. We had curry in a pub with no Indian people, it was decent and cheap - restaurant food was so goddamn expensive there and we ate out 95% of the time. We're so spoiled here at home for choice/value I can't bring myself to complain anymore.

Vancouver alone has more quality options than Europe combined imo.

Dat accent...dem Irish eyes...lotta blondes..Pretty good, pretty pretty pretty good...
Felt like a dirty old man though, so many JB. It was like 15-20 degree highs with sunny weather the whole time the LGs were wearing the skankiest shorts and skirts like they were rebelling against their whole repressed Catholic lives.
On the flip side though, like much of Europe these days, everyone else is old as fuck. Everywhere we went to eat or drink it seemed like a sea of grey hairs. Seemed like the perfect place to go on a retirement trip.

Only thing about British girls they cake on their makeup so much it looks uncanny mannequin. Irish ones when they go out appear to favour a more natural look. |
