No same old 100-400. I coudlnt bring myself to buy a 2500 dollar lens just to shoot coyotes. It would make sense if i liked birds, but i hate birds.

a while back i went to Boundary Bay when the Barn owl was causing this sort of behavior. these guys were just there to just "yap" at each other.
that little bird in Vancouver will be twice as bad.

if y'all look to the right, all these photographers drive really bitch ass boring cars. Their camera setups are often 2x the value of their cars.
I see this on the dyke too where these guys carry around 20k lenses and a 8k body, but drive a CRV from 1998.
I think the prerequisite of being a wildlife photographer is some clapped out Subaru

I saw some hooters today, the lighting was perfect   
Even with my super lens @ 1280mm equivalent (800x1.6 for the apsc crop), this stupid thing was tiny and very very far away. 
These clowns and their pathetic 600mm. what are you taking a shot of? ants? your f4 can eat a dick, no way you got the reach and even if you go into apsc mode, you wont have the megapixel to resolve the details.
