I think they're the oldest in the league now. Helle has had some injuries. Losing Ehlers didn't help. Also because they've been a good team for a while they had no high draft picks so have zero help with young guys. That among just the ever changing of good times to bad teams and bad teams to good teams in hockey. It happens so much quicker in the NHL I find.

They lost Ehlers and thought they could replace him with Toews, nope. Like the Nucks, they also had a bunch of injuries throughout the season, including Hellebuyck. Went from President's Trophy winner to last place.
Florida also fell pretty far at one point, but have worked their way back into the picture. With Tkachuk coming back soon, i think they'll make the playoffs.
