That's the reality right now. Support for this team is probably at an all-time low. I haven't watched a game in months already and it's only January. From comments I've seen, the entire team looks pretty miserable lately and it shows in the results.
Well yeah, as a business you don't care who buys. But that's only going to work when popular opposing teams show up. All the other ones attendance will be abysmal.
Toews returns to Chicago tonight for the 1st time ... C where he won 3 Stanley Cups ... not without controversies there. But Toews seemed to be in a better head space now after taking 2 years off.
Toews took the past two seasons off to focus on his health before reaching a deal with the Jets last summer. He posted one assist in his first game against the Blackhawks this season, in Winnipeg on Oct. 30.
“I think it’ll be a pretty cool moment for me,” Toews said of being back in Chicago. “Again, just being able to have a moment to kind of recognize what the game of hockey does for people in Chicago and what it meant for the city … you make a lot of sacrifices in your life and you kind of put a lot of things on the back burner, but the payoff is incredible to be able to be a part of championship teams that bring such an energy and inspiration to the city.
“I’m looking forward to going back there, playing that [game] and kind of reliving those moments.”

Sharks are on the upswing, Kief will make them even better. Interested to see what contract he'll sign with the Sharks. Those 2nd round picks will likely be mid-rounders.
