I think some continuity in style and colour for your shelving would make it look a lot better. That is a huge collection you've got going. Might as well go all out on shelving/display cases too lol.

I had these extra wooden crates laying around and thought I could repurpose them. But you’re right, it doesn’t match all the black ikea pieces. I might paint them black and see if I like it better. I want to ball out and do custom floor to ceiling acrylic display cases with lights. That would be the dream, no more dusting.  
Of course then I’ll have to puddy and paint all the walls.

im gonna double down on the crates look. im gonna get a few more of the 18" ones to match the 6 i already have. these will be perfect for the icons/creator cars on one side. on the other side i'll do 25" ones for the technic supercars. ill stack it from floor to ceiling to avoid putting more holes in my walls and it'll cover all the existing holes. stain it black and add some lights.

fuck i feel old. i remember helping my kids with lego sets when they were super young, correcting mistakes they did.
built transformers soundwave and had to remove my glasses to see things up close properly 
then built this guy over the weekend, and it was reversed, my oldest caught a couple mistakes i made, and also was able to find pieces and help me find pieces as if roles were reversed

I enjoyed it. I still play mechwarrior online from time to time. At one point I was really into it and was apart of the DSX clan diamond sharks , even had a trial of position and fought for my Rank and Blood name.

I used to retrofit PPCs onto every mech in MechCommander, especially because at the longer range, they would miss all their shots anyway.
