Holy shit - internet sleuths have deduced that LEGO already sold close to 50,000 copies of the Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise set in 24 hours. If we use the CAD$900 price, that means a gross of $45 million!
Pokemon fans have insanely deep pockets...

If youve ever tried to flip new lego youll know its very difficult. And ppl wholl pay a markup for it is fucken retarded. I only buy lego when its under msrp off fbm, used it bnib. The only time Ill pay sticker is when lego store has an exclusive gift set or when youre able to stack 2 or more gifts with purchase.
Even all my 90s sets I pay under bricklink value.

The ship for re-selling LEGO has long sailed. Too many people doing it now. The large sets are quite expensive, take up a lot of room, and can be a risky transaction if a large amount of money is involved.

Love the white cloth effect! Even though it's not LEGO, it mimics snow a lot better than a plain white baseplate.
