I have a Ryobi 40V blower for the yard, and a compact 18V compact blower that is great for quick clean-ups and blowing out the gutters on a ladder. https://www.homedepot.ca/product/ryo...4832?rrec=true https://images.homedepot.ca/producti...oduct-images=l RE: ladders, I find the collapsible ones a bit too flimsy for my liking and use the heavy AF telescoping ladder when it's extended and I'm high up. The flexing / wobbling with the collapsible ladder is kinda scary when I'm on the upper steps :lol |
ladders are no joke. if you die from a ladder accident while trying to clean your gutters, im pretty sure your ghost will forever haunt that house to seek vengeance. |
Damn, that Ryobi blower looks like something out of Mechwarrior... |
Psshhh spoken like a freebirth scum! |
i live in a rancher so going up on the roof is a bit sketch feeling but nothing crazy. i would never go up onto the second story of any house... climbing the ladder to go up is bad enough, but walking around the perimeter... hellz no. |
i get heebee jeebees just thinking about climbing up 16 feet. |
ya i won't wanna go out like that... if i had a choice it would be how tyrion lanister likes it  |
You wanna die like a midget ? |
Whoa whoa whoa nobody was talkin bout your wife bro |

10?!?!? Don’t make me laugh inner sphere rat. That’s an UAC2 at best. Look at how narrow it is. Pathetic. You dare refuse my batchall ?!?!? |
:lol the MechWarrior universe is so stupid... I love it. Quote:

alternatively http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/...llTraitors.jpg i'll keep an eye out for a cheapo leaf blower for now. not in a rush to drop $150 clams after my sour experience with my ryobi mini. |
Wait what happened with the Ryobi?? I've been looking for one. |

ya my mini leaf blower was a combo pack with the weed wacker. always been under powered and kind of janky. i do like the autocannon ryobi leaf blower, but not $150 like. hence my cheap ass is going to look around to see if there's something cheaper that gets the job done as i have a small walkway. i also need to look for a small electric shovel, my back was already sore from raking leaves. getting old sucks :okay: |
you could also exercise and strengthen your back muscles instead lol |

https://images.thdstatic.com/product...860-c3_600.jpg saw my neighbour doing the lawn in 1/2 the time cause I guess it's twice as big. Never looked back since. I just don't want to charge another battery powered thing... i do like taking up my headphones and then raking leaves. at the end, you'll still need the rakes to put into the bins.. so F it. |
Rakes work better than blowers in some cases, and blowers work better than rakes in other cases. It really works best when you have both. I am also slowly coming to terms with how my Ryobi 18V blower isn't quite strong enough for all the blowing I need it to do. But I really don't want to get into an additional (40V) battery system though... |
JUST USE A LAWN MOWER :troll: |
Yeah, I use the blower for the hard surfaces: driveway, deck, gravel behind the garage, but I find the rake more effective for the lawn (other than running them over with the lawnmower, but I only do that when they're dry) |
Add low slope roof to that list. A WTF moment I had up there last summer was a full pork rib bone. Must've been the crows. |
leaf blower is great on the roof i like my milwaukee and the forge 8ah battery makes a big difference vs the regular 5ah |
One part of my yard is largely a bark mulch surface, with another part largely gravel. Those areas get a ton of leaves falling, and actually having a less powerful 18v blower is better for me. It blows the leaves off but not all the bark mulch and/or gravel beneath them. For the lawn, I gave up raking and just use the mower. I set the height to the max (because I don't actually want to cut the grass necessarily) and the mower sucks all the leaves into the bag. It's perfect. |
