gymflation got ppl thinking 3 plates is the new 2 plates
but at 225lbs, if I am doing 10+ reps on set 1, and take 90 seconds, set 2 is gonna be less than 3-5 reps, with 3.5-5 mins, you can pop maybe 8-9 reps | I think the bigger thing for me is which order I do them in... if I do bench first, I do better... if I do chest press and shoulder press before I get to the bench or even free weights then I fatigue a lot faster and can't get the reps in, dropoff for 2nd set is severe at that point.
I have to admit though, the physique of some of the people I see doing 2 plates at the gym very much surprises me on the regular... smaller guys that I would think could do it or just straight up chubs. Like I find myself double-taking to check they're 45 plates not 25/35 hahaha

Missed my workouts on Weds and Fri but I got a good excuse!
What was a sore throat on Weds morning turned into painful swallowing (I could only eat soft foods like bananas) on Thursday turned into an ER visit on Friday where I was immediately admitted. The triage nurse candidly told me she was surprised I was still able to breathe upon seeing how swollen - my throat had become infected and swollen so much that much of it had become blocked. Blood tests, x-rays, and a CT scan ensued.
An IV round of steroids, painkillers, and antibiotics later and I'm recovering. I've got a IV attached to me still as I have to go in for 4-5 more rounds of IV anitibiotics (oral ones take too long). My pee is resoundingly dark yellow/orange and I basically adopted red_kryptonite calorie deficit for 3 days so I'm down about 4-5lbs in 3 days - I can drink again but it'll probably be a few days before I eat normal foods.
On the plus side I got to experience the new ER wing at Burnaby General - it was their first day open. Nice place - newer hospitals make so much more effort to provide patients with privacy and they feel so much more comfortable. Also, as always, the staff are great (as it's always been in my experience). All of this for $0 (beyond my taxes) - it's a great deal.
Also, I'm going to update my will so you guys can get all my car stuff - it's not a lot but it's something. I'll have dukes assigned as the executor for that stuff.

Was this a sinus infection? I just recovered from a really bad sinus infection that only tapered off over a month's time but it was nowhere near what you described.
How did I become the executor of your will?

How did I become the executor of your will? | They didn't put a name to it but it was closer to tonsillitis. They figured it was food debris that got stuck in there and it infected something.
You'll only execute the car related part of the will - you can keep the Costco jack. Quote:
