I don’t know why you would spend the money for a home gym when you could come get a free meal and a workout with your ole buddy hobz in Richmond. It’s only 365 for the year !!! |
last year i maxed at 178lb and dropped all the way to 148 lb and by end of year fell off at 165 lb i'm going to try it again and see if i can't get to and sustain 150 or at best/worst 155 lb. when i was at 148 and trying to push to 145 and eventually 140 i realized at my age it's not sustainable. |
Haven't weighed myself in awhile now, but I suspect I'm hovering around 165lbs. I'd like that to be 155lbs or so. Why home gym setup? 1. people suck 2. gyms are generally pretty gross 3. people stink 4. waiting for equipment sucks 5. after awhile, all the money you sunk into gym memberships will have paid for your own equipment long time ago 6. people absolutely suck |

I'm not that social a person so other than missing out on the eye candy I'm not the type that needs to be at the gym to get a good workout in. |
There's one particular girl at my Fitness World that is always dressed for attention. I specifically try my damn hardest to give her ZERO lol. When I'm working out, I find the less distractions, the better. I have no interest in eye candy in that setting either! |

She's Fit has all the space (I think) and you aren't even using the equipment, she was purely there for the attention :rukidding: |
My goal for this year is to gain 5 lbs of muscles without getting fat. (And if it doesn't look like it'll work out by Dec, I'll just drink 2L of water and say I've met my goal lol~) |

Do any of you guys take multivitamins? I've been using the Costco Men's multivitamin and what it packs is very competitive against equivalent brand names. And for the price, it's hard to beat. For a while, I was taking Orange Triad but man, it gets expensive. I'm not that rich by any means. |

This shit on/off, its got a very large list of shit on the back of it, makes me think im doing something good to my body, but probably just wasting money. https://shoppopeyes.com/cdn/shop/fil...g?v=1763990499 https://avril.ca/media/catalog/produ...y-900g_web.jpg |

The advice from any doctor I've spoken to about vitamins is that they generally aren't needed unless you've been diagnosed with a deficiency (like my wife's shortage of iron) - they all generally seem a bit skeptical about its value but I bet it assumes you eat a well balanced diet. |
been taking costco B12. recently started a K2/D3 as I heard K has good benefits with metabolism & helping improving sleep. dunno if it's true but saw a bunch of health/medical YT'rs say it's good so why not. |

side note: I was 164.2lbs this morning, very close to my prediction! smart but fat :teach: |
If I was balling enough to have a massive property and to the home gym thing big then maybe I can do it but I have to leave the house and get my ass there. I don't have the same motivation at home. Plus after being home all day, work, kids etc leaving the house for the gym at the end of the night is my way to decompress. I don't normally weigh myself because weight isn't something I'm after but I did notice I'm 200 now the highest I've ever been. The normal weight I've held for the past decade is 185-190 sot he extra 10lbs not from any holiday eating is what, old age? I don't know. Goals for the year are start doing cardio and legs. Yea I'm a skip leg day dude but after a 15 month battle with a glute injury I had slowly started doing some lower body stuff anyway. That aside, continue the same nightly 1030/1100pm gym routine and maintain. |

Actually while we are on this topic where are people buying creatine? I'm looking to add it into my routine for a variety of reasons. I know powder is cheaper but I think I want to just go the pill route. Cheapest and most convenient place to buy and while yes not everything is created equal how big a difference do you feel between the different brands? |
I think I would stick with powder because it encourages you to drink a lot of fluid with it and that is a requirement of taking creatine. If you just swallow a pill with a washdown you might end up being more dehydrated. |
I bought a 30lbs kettlebell (waiting to get delivered) and I'm going to start doing kettlebell work outs in front of the tv once I get home from work. Something to get me over this winter dull hump. From videos I have seen seems like you can get some pretty decent progress with different at home workouts. |
