| What credit card do you have?
Well it's time for me to get a new credit card and I'm wondering what people out there have. I'm applying for a Infinite Avion with RBC tommorow. List pros/cons if you could please.

That's a pretty good card. I have it as well, great concierge service plus the point system is better than most cards at 1 dollar a point? The downside of this card is that it cost about 130ish? to get it. Plus it looks wicked in Black lol

TD Visa Emerald - I think the yearly cost is $30 or something but the point of the card is that it's a low interest card. I'm at 8% which isn't the lowest but good enough for me. I wouldn't really say the fact that you get no cash back or points is a con because most credit cards only hook you one thing anyways whether it be low interest, points, or cash back. Of course it has the usual extra warranty etc stuff.
Citi Mastercard - Only use this card for the 2cent (previously 5.5 cents) discount on gas at Petro. In addition you get points where you can redeem for Petro shit, gift cards, itravel2000 money, and you can also transfer them for points on other travel sites as well which isn't too shabby. If you use this as a primary spending card the points can add up pretty quickly and easily.
MNBA Canucks Mastercard - nothing special with this card whatsoever other then the fact it has the Canucks logo on it I guess? lol. Got the card signing up at GM Places to get some gifts. Don't really use the card really at all and I wouldn't recommend it.

I don't know if I could ever justify paying a fee for a credit card. I'll just keep my scotia line visa with no anual fee and an interest rate of Prime +1. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles but I don't think I'd ever use them anyway.

I think you should use the search button. This has been covered or asked many times already.

For those who have PC mastercard, do you have the balance protection insurance that comes with it?

RBC Platinum Avion VISA.
$120, and you get a bunch of free points when you sign up.
The $120 you spend on it a year gets you that in points.
Points = free plane ticket to wherever when you accumulate enough. Or you can cash it in for a TV or something.
+ and it comes with all the bells and whistles that the creditcard company offers minus the infinite spending amount.
I had to put $10,000 as collateral just to get it since it was my first card. 5k limit, and I've only hit the limit once since I used it to buy a car. Paid it off the week after, and now I only use it for gas. I could've bought it with cash, but the instant points were a plus. 12.9% interest or something.

I have the MBNA Sony card.....
I would advise anyone who is thinking about joining up with MBNA to stay away. After I signed up, the # of phone calls that I received asking about special offers, etc. etc. increased and they also send you a lot of useless paper 'cheques' for your account...even after I've phoned them and told them to take me off of their lists and stop sending me anything except my bill!

MNBA sends me checks every 2 weeks and spams my phone once a day. I finally picked up one time and about 2 mins I just hung up haha and haven't gotten a call since, for now.

i use visa cibc dividend. You don't pay any monthly or yearly fees and for every bill, you get back 1%. So if i spend 1k in a month, i get $10 off of that and only pay 9990. Sounds like nothing, but it definitely adds up over the span of a few months!
