i maxed out some of the weapons, did some of the missions (not all) because while roaming thru the country side, i just happen to be following the path that leads to the end of the game =( damn!

maybe ill just turn around and head back to the beginning of the game via those warps.

i thought the game was longer!

yeah, thats what im doing, went back to and started fighting backwards. levelling up all my weapons, and trying to complete all the missions.

i stopped playing it after about 20h
couldnt stand it anymore. the whole game is like fighting your way down a hallway.
even the skill system is completely linear. its like a worse version of FFX because you cant actually control the direction of your upgrade path.

i just started playing the other day (im up to vanille and sazh' forest hike to sazhs hometown)


does anyone else feel this FF seems a weee bit dumbed down? doesn't seem as complex or involving as previous FF's that or im just really used to / good at ff games now (doubt it) it seems too ez and simple

whys there no difficulty selector or Japanese dub option; item leveling, and character leveling is retarded; its like the game was made for 5yr olds... Is it because its on Xbox.. so they had to make it real simple for them ;)

It's because of Xbox.

I heard they lowered the amount of gameplay on this game to keep XBOX within 3 disc. There is around roughly 50hours of more game time on this game.

i just borrowed this game a month and a bit ago from my friend

i'm in Chapter 13 and have the max level for 2nd teir weapons for my trio. i may have picked the wrong ones for Fang and Hope but oh well.

spent all my money before doing the trapahsehzixoid (sp) trick

started this game last week and i'm at chapter 11 cieth stone mission 14 at 34hours. i wanted lightning/fang/vanille to be my main until there was a mission where i couldn't win with vanille at all, so i went to hope and used his synergist role. maybe when i get to the higher levels then i can go back to using vanille. the saboteur on her is amazing.

^^^to complete the chapters you're better off with lightning/fang/hope all the way. You'll like hope for his Haste and other buffs. Fang is decent enough at saboteur.

This is probably one of the most boring and poorly paced RPGs I've played in the past 5 years. What the hell happened to JRPGs? Western RPGs got so much better now.

Mass Effect and Fallout 3 > than this steaming piece of crap. Would rather spend $50 on the PSN store to buy 5 copies of FF7 instead.

the gameplay in xiii is different but i'm getitng used to it (prefer original style tho).. i'm still early in the game so def looking forward to summons.

13's story is better imo. 13-2 had a ton of plot holes and out of character-ness.
But overall it gives you more freedom and the battle system feels a lot better.
And no annoying fake accents *cough* Vanille & Fang *cough*

^^ SE said the game went into full development in September of 2011. There were rumours of the game being quietly cancelled but SE shot that rumour down and said its still in development.

SE also confirmed FF15 to be completely open-world using the same battle system from FF12 but upgraded.

People are also saying FFversus 13 is going to be FF15. Hope not though :)
