Most of the time, they don't let you double up on OG Retro Jordans (not since before Dec 2011 anyways). It was readily available that I returned my Champs pairs since my US online Eastbay orders came through ( retail $165 ). I'm a 9.5 in Jordans but in the XI's I'm a 10. They fit snug and the patent leather doesn't really stretch so they make for a fairly uncomfortable fit to be honest.

What's foolish is purchasing $200 for a fake pair of shoes. Sheesh, that's more than retail price when they came out in (MSRP in the US). If you can stomach it, great for the vendor. If I missed the boat on a release, I would just wait since Nike will be re-releasing in several years anyways.

Funny how ben baller is rocking fakes (see his restored Space Jams). Whatever, it's like a wealthy person wearing a fake high quality rolex. If you're happy with your purchase great. For me, I could not stomach it for that price.

Compared one of them so called "grey market" XI concords to my XI concords when a friend was about to buy from a seller on craigslist.

A couple things I saw that were off:

1. Shoe horn - fakes had smaller shoe horns. Different Color.
2. Stitching was slightly different on certain parts
3. "23" at the heel side was different. Not less quality, just slight different size and positioning.
4. Stitching of jumpman. A bit different. Again, not less quality, just different.
5. Carbon fiber. It looked a bit off, but the feel and texture were similar. Again, just different.
6. Sole - fake pair was icy. My pair had slight yellowing already.

You're saying that your pair looks great. Good for you, you got lucky, not every pair will be like that. Or maybe you're just biased since you bought a pair already.

Now, on to Grey Market Pairs. It's funny that Grey Market Pairs got their claim to fame because these are "excess" or "unauthorized" pairs from the original manufacturer(s). Do you honestly believe that it is from the same official factory that Nike hired to make these shoes ? There could be thousands of them. Anyone in the import/export business will know that you can get simple material goods made in quite a few different sources in China at good quality if you have the money.

It's quite trivial really. If you can conceive that the goods can be duplicated very well at different sources (not just the original manufacturers that made the goods), plus there is money to be made for these fakes, you will see high quality fakes in the market.

You can snitch on them to Nike Headquarters. They lose their Jordan Account. Just like how Nike Robson lost their Jordan Account - employees taking the loot for themselves first after Nike Canada instructed all the retailers not too. It's a lose lose situation. We either lose a store that carry nice releases or we get stores that prioritizes the limited shoes for themselves.

One example for Livestock Gastown. For the Yeezy 2 release, not only did some of the employees get some pairs for themselves, but for friends as well. E.g. even a hairdresser/barber at the barber shop next door told me she got hooked up with the Yeezy's. At the end of the day, it's a lose-lose situation.

Incorrect, Fake is fake. Let's hope he didn't pay much for them. Best way to know the difference is a side by side comparison with a legit pair. I did that for my friend. I could see the differences on the outside. Similar materials, but the differences on the outside are mostly on the stitching on the patent leather, number size and positioning at the heel.

In the inside (e.g. cushioning, etc), well, I can't tell.

It's great if they were unauthorized. I get that. But where is the proof that it came from the same factory Nike commissioned where the "authorized" pairs came out? None.

That's my problem with that, as if China is a black box of manufacturing. People in china still have the concept and still can pump out shoes after the contract with nike because this is in China and they cant get sue for it. The fakes are so obvious to distinguish because they are just plain fake. The concord posted up there, are made with authentic materials from the same factory and the blue soles is what they use for current and future jordan releases.

Bottom line is authorized vs unauthorized, I have gather information for the past 8 months from the grey market thread on niketalk.com giving you guys the cliff notes and the conclusion. Grey Market shoe is definitely circulating and there's nothing you can do about it. Besides recognizing the concords and jams being blue sole... after 5 years the sole will still turn yellow then what, no body will be able to know the difference and you won't be able to tell when they are on feet.

In the end Nike is still making money no matter what the outcome is. I'm sure they're aware of this situation but there is nothing they can do about it. Purchasing grey market is a criminal offense because you are buying a product that is unauthorized but on feet its all the same.

Looking at my DS Concord pair, the color of the sole on the side is a bit blue. The yellowing is very minimal and is only noticeable near the edges of the traction.

These do not even look like they came from the same factory as the Nike-commissioned factories if you claim they are grey market.

By the way, it costs Nike $25-$30 to make a pair of shoes. So there is nothing premium about the materials of the original shoes, so replica makers do not have to dumb down their replicas to make fakes.

How much did you pay for these ? These look like pairs sold in the night markets in Manila and Bangkok for $50 if you don't bargain. Let me guess, you bought these via taobao? You got to be very naive to believe the legitimacy of those sellers when they say it is straight from the same factory as Nike's.

By the way, why are you buying fakes for these ? Both concords and space jams could be easily had if you pre-ordered from Champs/FTL. You do know that these shoes will be re-retroed again. Nike/Jordan Brand will milk as much money as they can for these so best believe they will come out again.

There is no quality check for gm so alignments are not perfect. The fake ones will068 said you can get on the street for $50 uses plastic instead of real carbon fibre.

One thing I learned in my cousin's businesses is that you can commission anything to be made in China. Find the right manufacturer, pay a premium, and it can be done. It is mind blowing.

If you can make money from it, it will be made. Especially now in the global market, Sellers in China can expose themselves to potential buyers much easier.

I don't know. Outside materials look good. Based on the pics, I would want to see a pics zoomed out a bit to see the lines and the shape. Plus, compare it with a legitimate pair. The NT crowd seems to think it's legit.

I would definitely scrutinize it more since most of the high quality variants out there are for Jordan XI Black Reds or Concords since they are the most popular and you can monetize them the most.. Do you see high quality variants of Jordan XV's or Jordan XVII's ?

Mr.Money those are grey market, under unauthorized sneakers. The blue tint is the same as the jordan V grape and fire reds.

The bottom of the shoe circles maybe off due to no quality control over grey market sneakers.

The CDP's were not good as well. I had to sell my set (XI /XII) because my XI pair was so uncomfortable. Felt like the insole was made out of cardboard.
