The winter break is finally over a lot of pro cs games being played again!
EU: Starladder and ESEA in full swing as well as some small tournaments.
NA: RNG Open, CEVO, ESEA and MLG XGames happening in a few weeks

There have been so many different shuffles and team drops/pickups in the NA scene but TeamLiquid just picked up the old Denial team. A lot more support is coming this way and hopefully we'll start to see more pros go full time and be able to compete better against the EU teams.

Going to start betting bigger and hopefully can get to the 1-1.5K range lol.

I usually try to cash out a lot of my items after a bet to keep me from betting a lot haha. Usually only have about like ~$50-$100 that I bet with but going to try and change it so I can do 240 bets once I sell my knife.

Nah there are a lot of services out there now. ESEA, CEVO, FaceIt to name a few.

They run their own anti-cheat clients and you can do pugs, scrims, and ladders that way.

ESEA is $6.95 where as CEVO and FaceIT are free. I haven't tried FaceIt but CEVO is a decent alternative to ESEA especially since it's free.

ESEA also has a competitive league and different divisions where you can compete (Open, Intermediate, Main, Premiere, Invite).

Yea queuing with a couple of friends definitely helps.

Whenever I play with a friend thats in Silver/Nova and the team doesn't do "well" i always find that people just leave 9/10 times. Sucks for people in that skill bracket that actually want to improve having to play a game 4v5 haha.

There's a lot of things you can do to help improve aside from just playing competitive. Work on your aim, deathmatch every day to warm up, review your own demos and see what you could have done better, load up maps offline and practice your peaks/prefires/smokes/nades.

And to take it even further, watch pro demos, pro matches and review them. Find your favorite player download their demo and see how they do things.

There are scammers, you just have to be careful. I only deal through the lounge and never add people to steam. If I post a trade I just ask for a steam offer to be sent and you cant be scammed that way (my profile is public so anyone can send offers without having to add them). One thing I see constantly are people advertising weapons that have a different wear on them. eg. Weapon A up for trade on lounge is a AWP | Asiimov (Field-Tested) but actually in their inventory its Battle-scarred. Sometimes when you go to input the items for trade you dont notice the wear. Just small things you have to check for before confirming the through steam. Also be very careful about clicking links people have sent you. Some contain key loggers. Sites like staemcommunity.com with letters switched around and you dont notice, put your user name/pw in and boom your account is gone.

People who post 1 key for items are usually trading more than 1 key for that item. It's just to show that they want to trade.

Items are just scattered between bots on CSGOLounge. When you retrieve items they'll get it from which ever bot has it and if it has more then it'll give you the other items.

You choose a match and it'll list out your inventory. Select the items you want to bet and then one of their bots will send you a trade offer.

I usually buy keys from my friends or some trusted sellers from /r/globaloffensivetrade. It's a cheaper and the items are not trade locked but you do run the risk of getting scammed when you deal directly with the person.

Yeah, C9 did their homework against NV.. It was the riskiest bet of the three, but I was hoping NV would take the BO3 after their BO1 loss to C9
