Yeah, you can certainly see the structure in the team’s defensive system. The players are working hard to take away shooting lanes during penalty kills.

You also see more aggressive forecheck too.

A night and day difference in the way the team plays defence now under Tocchet compared to Boudreau.

Friedman, 27, split the 2022-23 season between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the AHL, registering a goal and two assists for three points in 23 NHL games. At the AHL level, the right-shot defenceman had one goal and five assists for six points in 24 games.


In 65 career NHL games with Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, the five-foot-11, 185-pound defenceman has four goals and eight assists for 12 points.

Nah, Garland went right in there and basically took out Hart's right pad. It was the right call. Puck wouldn't have went in if Garland didn't make contact and basically push half the goalie's body in.

I don't understand why Couturier was awarded a penalty shot on that breakaway? I know Peterson lunged and his stick snapped trying to check him, but Couturier maintained full control of the puck and made a full deke/scoring attempt after, just got stuffed by Demko.

Penalty shot is supposed to be awarded when the chance to score has been seriously impeded, not because you got annoyed by someone.

A Penalty Shot is awarded when a player in control of the puck (which is in the neutral zone or puck carrier's attacking zone) and having no opponent to pass other than the goaltender, is tripped or otherwise fouled from behind and therefore prevented from having a clear, unimpeded shot on goal.

He got a clear and unimpeded shot on goal ??? Bizarre.

Players can't gamble at all.. NFL has similar rules, and guys have been suspended for entire seasons. Severity depends on what they're gambling on, and where (if on team facilities it gets much worse).

If they found he did gamble on NHL games or his own team's games, he'd probably be gone for a full season, or forever.

Players can't gamble at all.. NFL has similar rules, and guys have been suspended for entire seasons. Severity depends on what they're gambling on, and where (if on team facilities it gets much worse).

If they found he did gamble on NHL games or his own team's games, he'd probably be gone for a full season, or forever.

It's not really hypocritical... They're not saying "gambling is wrong", they just need to keep it as strict as possible, so there's as little question as possible that people are influencing games.

if you are on a track record with big wins -say 40 grand. they'll send your winnings but need a bank record of where the money came from first. if they see its deposited from your friend a number of times on record... your winnings are forfeited because "Account sharing" and against terms of service you agreed to using the site.

Dallas plays a tight defensive system compared to the beer league defense of the Sharks.

They also have their own star players like Hintz, Robertson, Pavelski, and Benn who can put the puck in the net.

Coilers fans booed their team again after Dallas beat them 4-3 in a shoot out. 25 blocked shots for Dallas. Coilers out shot them 49-27 in the loss hahah.

Canucks need to play their defensive system really well on 5 on 5 play in order to beat Dallas.
