well looks like my IC is FINALLY on the way. also getting some Axxis Metalmaster brake pads for the front, ill see how they do. ill upgrade the rears during the summer, along with stainless lines probably...

ryan, what bends do you think i will need with the side to side flow IC? i was thinking about mocking it all up with pvc piping, then ordering the bends.

considering a mild steel bend is about $30, and an aluminum is $35, ill pay the extra $5. your always talking about weight, consider the weight of all aluminum hardpipes vs steel.

ooo that extra .5" makes it not a honda wheel ? :P

a 315 might rub. also consider the width of the tire doesnt increase the contact patch, it only changes the shape. you would have better results changing to a softer tire compound.

A wider wheel doesn't increase the contact patch?? Can you elaborate please?

wider tire. things that change the size of the contact patch would be lower tire pressures, etc, whereas changing tire width, alignment, etc will change the shape of the contact patch. so a wide tire has a nice wide contact patch, perfect for turning. however, it doesnt increase the size of the contact patch along the circumference of the tire, so straightline grip isnt effected. as i said, the best bet is to get a stickier tire compound such as an R compound or drag radial.

also, the Dave Point, good read: http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/ed...hno/index.html

Woops my bad, wider tire

So basically a wider wheel/tire would put the Dave Point closer to the center of the car then the actual centre of the contact patch, resulting in uneven grip?
