Hey guys, I have a question about going NA --> Turbo with the NA block, head, intake, etc. If I was to buy a turbo, what else is needed? I know one of the Supra guy's in Vic did this swap, but I can't remember who it was.

Also, I found a Garret T3 Turbo for sale. Here is the description in the ad:

"Garrett T3 turobcharger.
Completely rebuilt and never used.
Original Equipment on Ford 2.3L OHC engine found in late 70's - mid 80's Mustang / Capri.
Turbo designed to fit into into intake manifold, I have manifold and will throw in no cost.
It requires new internal waistgate for O/E operation.

Will Take Fair Offer!"

He's asking $250, is that a fair price, or should it be cheaper/more expensive?

Is that compatible with the Toyota 3.0L I6?

Thanks in advance for the help. When I get home, I'm going to research it more on Supraforums.

Cheers
Shane

If I were you I'd look for the stock ct-26 turbo. It'll be much easier to swap and they can flow quite a bit.

Or if you wanna get fancy... I know a guy selling a greddy 20g kit, complete with a polished mani and custom L&R stainless DP for ~$1500 (I'm still dreaming of buying this myself, I think it's one of the best suited turbos for our cars).

I'll keep on the lookout for the ct-26. Is it hard to rebuild a turbo?

The Greddy kit would be nice. *Drool*

turbing a n/a can be done but you are kinda limted to lower boost since the ge eletroince and ecu can not compsate for boost that much

not saying ti cna be done but if you don't knwo car's to well i whould not bother

but if you are the type opf person that says it blo3ws it blow then go ahead

you can swap teh g5te eletoice over and it will work right

but fi you are doing that it be cheepr to just buy a turbo motor or front clip

but if you where to just turbot he na and keep it at stock boost you most liyl will nto ahve any prob's

as int eh studff you need for eahter way you wana go give me pm and tell yae

oh yae don't rebuild your turbo you cna nto do it

in less you are just swaping center section

that turbo is to small for the 7m for my tastes and you have to make bunch of custom junk just to make it work

Hey, can one of you guys do me a favor? I've been banned from SupraForums for a few months now, and I've sent the admins a couple emails asking why, and no one's responded. Can anyone try and find out for me?

ryan, are using a relay to drive your gauges? becuase running all of them off a single 16 gauge wire isnt the smartest idea.

Nah, I registered a long time ago, when I was looking for a supra, but one day I found myself banned Tried email the admins, no answer, 3 times. Registration's closed still, I just want to know why I was banned, unless they banned everyone under 30 posts or something..... I even remember seeing you, Enraged and Ryan posting
