Well my supra is no more... if anyone wants any of my aftermarket parts then let me know, i will be selling them off. Ive also got a fair amount of stock parts too. Matt... i might be able to get together all the stuff you need for a turbo swap if your still interested, just talk to me on msn sometime and we can work something out... i just have to check and make sure the turbo is still ok.

Well... it all started last thursday on my way home from work the car developed a fairly minor ticking noise, sounded like misadjusted valves or something, but then i drove it to work the next morning and it was alot worse, and so i decided to just drive the car straight to the shop and park it and rip it apart. Well i got inside and i havent figured out what the noise is yet... but im pretty sure its a valve spring or a piece of a piston broken off... but whatever it was went through the entire engine and the camshafts journals and the camshafts themselves are all scord and screwed... and i havent pulled the pan yet... but im willing to put money that the bottom end is toast just like the top end... and possibly even the turbo, thats why i say i have to check it out first matt. But i will let you know the status on that later if your interested still. Whatever this broken piece is thats causing the noise basically destroyed all the bearings in the engine... and im just sick of it... thats my rebuild down the tube so im done with supras now. Ive had nothing but bad luck with that stupid car. But id like to recoupe some small amount of money back by parting out my aftermarket stuff... and hopefully the stuff to do a turbo swap if someone is interested in it. Just let me know... its not going anywhere fast. I might look for an autowrecker motor or whatever to through into the car and just sell it for dirt cheap to get it out of my face. But right now i can just sell the aftermarket stuff and figure out what to do with the rest of the heap. I cant believe that stupid car... its just my luck too.

That really sucks to hear Bob. Its sad to hear that such a devoted enthusiast is throwing in the towel, but I can understand where you're coming from.

I'd be interested in some of the aftermarket parts you have. I'm not 100% sure of what you have, but I'd definately buy the exhaust system (from elbow to muffler), IC, etc. We'll have to chat on msn.

I've got my 88 S10 Blazer for sale if you're interested in that.

Like I said, we'll chat on msn sometime soon. Maybe email me a list or link of all your mods?

Good luck with your next vehicle.

Cheers
Shane

BOb that is horrible!!
I know you have had nothing but bad luck with that stupid car - not really sorry to hear that you are getting rid of it... but it totally sucks that you will be taking such a huge loss!

But I'm sure I can find a few people that would be interested in some of the parts.
OH!! and anyone here that doesn't have swaybars - BUY THEM!!
Bob you haven't even put them on the car yet have you?

I would have taken the hardpipes and bov off your hands, but I just paid for Greg to make me a set a little over a week ago.
I'll buy your gauges though, I really was just starting to look for some black-faced ones. There's a few other things I'd be happy to buy off ya too.... fuel computer and maybe that shift knob back.

That totally sucks to hear though, I was just wondering how things were going cause I haven't talked to you in a while... maybe I'll give you a call tonight or tomorrow night and see what's going on. You know I'll help you as much as I can to try and figure something out as far as recovering some of your money back.
Actually, I remember about a month ago there was a guy in Vancouver looking to by a shell on SF. My lunch is almost over here so I can't look right now but I'll try to dig it up tonight.

What a piss-off though dude! Truck and a bike.... truck and a bike.
I think that's what I'm gonna try to do as well.

Slate 85GTS writes: arturiusma7, i have the cooleeze hardpipes with the Blitz SS Dual Drive BOV. Ive got lots of stock parts as well as some more aftermarket stuff... anyone thats interested in parts add me to msn (bob_cotton67@hotmail.com) and we can talk. I will make a list of what i have one day when i have time to dig through my boxes of crap and stuff. Ive got no car right now either so its hard to get to the supra and the parts to see what ive got, but i will work something out soon. If your in need of something specific just ask, i know most of what i have.
