I picked up a new mounting system from this new company called Morsa Designs, its the only mounting system I've seen that can mount 2 gopro compatible devices with a 3rd garmin compatible computer.

The K-edge stuff does two, but I really needed three as I'll be moving to Osaka for atleast one year and they mandate a front light by law in Japan. From what I've tested the aluminium k-edge combo mount also doesn't deal with vibration well making it kinda poor for the camera, whereas this Morsa, which is made from a nylon/carbon composite material, does well for dampening vibrations.

how do you like the wahoo fitness rflkt?

Just a heads up to avoid UBC in the AM tomorrow, Sunday. There's a half marathon going on with 16th closed unti 8 am and Marine down to Jericho Beach closed until 10am.

Plot twist: I was riding as well. Dude was trying his best, but could not climb for shit lol. I'm not the strongest rider for sure either.

So RFLKT+ (plus) is great for its barometric and temperature monitoring addiitons to my phone, but would not buy again.

1. The battery life is pretty poor and ireqrues replacement with a non standard CR2450 coin battery.
2. Does not maintain signal 100% of time and has odd quirks with disconnecting.
3. Buttons are not always responsive from a hardware standpoint.
4. ANT+ bridge does not work on android, which is okay because my Sony Z1 Compact supports any natively.
5. Limited Android support, no strava app which admittedly the strava app lacks compared to its iOS counterpart. The wahoo fitness app is great, but does not support auto-pause of all things which can be anoying the city.

I like the promise but a Garmin is just a better option, it's too bad the new compact Edge 25 does not support barometric altitude.

Hey guys, what are you thoughts on singlespeeds? I really love the minimalist look of them, and thinking about adding one to my stable. I currently ride a cannondale synapse carbon for fitness and the odd day commuting to work, and a trek 7.2 FX disc for baby trailer hauling.

I'm kinda intrigued by a Brodie Remus, since a coworker of mine, says he can probably get me a deal on one. I'm thinking I'd put some bullhorns on it with bartape to match the saddle and be done with. Not entirely sure why I want this, I just do..heheh.

Love them. I love the simplicity of them. Go for it. Great for training and commuting depending on gearing.

converting my fixed gear back into a single speed. got new bars as i hated my bullhorn ones. also got a new brake setup and levers so now i have front brakes. now all thats left is to get a new freewheel for my rear hub. its at steveston cycle now just getting the new bars wrapped. im good at a lot of things, but delicate work like bar wrapping ain't one of them.

I guess people won't be demanding near retail prices for their used CAAD10s, eh?

(We all know that won't happen.)

Went for a short ride today, I am surprised how much of a workout my tricep are getting. I guess I'm putting way too much weight on my arms

320icar, it's likely due to how your bike is setup... If it's just for your fixie, I would google how to bike fit, and adjust your bike accordingly. Weight distribution between front and rear is usually 50/50 or 40% front 60% rear. You shouldn't be feeling like majority of the weight is on the front.

your handlebars are pointed down btw

fit and don't forget core strength. A lot of people place a lot of weight on their hands cause their core isn't being fully utilized.

A good exercise to test that (and improve your strength) is to find a long, preferably deserted road. Ride in normal position in the hoods, make sure your elbows are slightly bent, back straight, etc. Then Lift one hand and hover it just and inch or so above the bars while keeping the rest of your body the same. You'll feel your core really working to compensate from just one hand off the bars. Ride for 30-45 seconds and switch.

Thanks for your input, i was going to order it till i read your post. I'll stay clear of it. Maybe a Garmin Edge 520.
