While your car is sitting there with no clutch, I'm faster. And unless its a 5.0, I'm still faster. As for being a chick car...I see a lot more chicks drinving mustangs than Celicas. Even the new mustangs are all old woman drivers. Men who want domestic buy GM cuz they know what a car is.

(Ford) Engines: 2.3 liter @ 88 bhp. Weight of 28xx lbs.
(Toyota) Horsepower 140 hp @ 6,400 rpm Weight of 2,4xx lb.

Even if the 5.0 is a nice engine, expensive to work on. Every car has it's godsent though right? What was the specs on the all-track celica? 200 HP turbocharged with still around 24-26xx pounds? Not to mention it's easy to get some really nice gains from that car with only turning up the boost just a little, little bit.

the celica is what, a 1.8L? and makes only 140hp... thats pretty fucking brutal if you ask me. a 1000cc superbike puts more BHP stock than a celica and weighs like 500-600 with rider

500cc GP bikes make 200hp (restricted) NA bhp

So your saying the 2.3L Mustang which makes 88 hp is better off than the 1.8L celica delivering 140 hp? When were we talking about bikes though? Those are are an entire different matter. Harsh thing to happen Rusty, I've had that happen to me.

bikes and cars are totally different

but how does an inline 4, 4 stroke, gas, 16 valve application vs inline 4, 4 stroke, gas, 16 valve application differ?

Glad to see that we agreed that bikes and cars are totally different, however why did you bring it up?

An inline engine is long and narrow. In small cars in particular, a long, narrow engine mounted transversely can allow a very short hood. In an air-cooled engine, the inline configuration is sometimes harder to cool.
A flat engine is wide and flat. This gives it a low center of gravity.

http://www.twistgrip.co.za/technicol_cylinders.htm

http://auto.howstuffworks.com/engine-inline.htm

http://colos1.fri.uni-lj.si/~colos/C...NE/engine.html

You can find these answers on the Internet, why did you ask them? To see if I had the expertise of engines? Because your angry at me because I use grammer or something? Because I enjoy how reliable the Toyota Celica's 2ZZGE engine works?

lol, relax buddy

im not angry at you.. and i think i have some idea how an engine works. but in the end, a 1L gxr puts down more HP than your enjoyable 1.8L toyota motor.

after all, i have rebuilt an engine completely. helped rebuild 2 others, and have worked on a few bike engines.

i dont much have a thing for the car spectrum anymore.. i've always wanted serious performance.. superbikes was the answer
