How can they get in trouble over an acronym? Toys R Us can't trademark an acronym.
I think it was more to prevent confusion between us and the new UBC campus in Kelowna.

k, i'm not saying that someone can legally own an acronym, i believe the acronym itself has to be copyrighted for that to happen, i'm saying that martha piper, the president of ubc, is the second most powerful woman in bc, she has a lot of say in matters like these believe it or not. With the regards to an incident involving UNBC, nothing to do with the newly named UBC of kelowna, she expressed her anger over the infringement on the BC being added to the end of the universities name without consultation prior becasue she believes that BC relates only to UBC and UBC related campus (ie. kelowna's campus) therefore she felt they had infringed on the trademark and in some nature the prestige that her institute had worked so hard to obtain. Because of this incident it is very well known that if one is to use BC at the end of their institutes name there must first be a consultation with her prior.

I think those kids should have put "TRU sucks" rather than that peace sign. I still can't get over how horrible a name for a University that is.

Yeah my boss has one too.. it's a black one from '03... I had to drive it to deliver furniture to the Bluff for the ZZTop concert and it was a very nice ride. Not to mention his stereo kicks ass.

Damn.. Just found out one of my cousins long-time friends took a nasty spill skateboarding a month ago.. They put his ankle back together with pins like they usually do. Everything was healing pretty decent, or so he thought. He goes and gets it checked out one day and they find that it was so badly infected that the whole foot had to be amputated just above the ankle.. Damn, poor guy.

Rangers are trucks too y'know!! (they're just mini) jeez.. i like mine cuz it sits as high as most SUV's and has the ground clearence of a 4by, the 04's are sweet ^_^
