Yes, it takes away from the picture.
Usually if the composition/angle/lighting and story behind the image doesn't catch my attention, I don't bother editing it.

the wheels looks like they are off the mini

MikesJo 07-05-2008 06:48 AM

Different choice of wheels for a fit. Subtle, I like the overall car. Wheels are so-so.

When I couldn't find the garbage, I thought you were referring to the car.

I don't think it was arson, there was a old guy running around with a garden hose trying to stop it from spreading to the house/bushes. I figure since the side door is open he must have been doing something with it at the time. I found it odd that it managed to get fully engulfed, considering there is a fire extinguisher in plain view on the door?

doesn't take long for fire to spread in a cars interior, lots of people panic and forget about extinguishers. I was at a call where a candle fell over and started a fire, first crew in bumped into a perfectly good extinguisher (house is full of smoke by then) definitely something to be looked at during the investigation though.

It has no power. My gf's '02 Civic Si has more power and is better on gas.
What I like about it you can fold down the seats and sleep in the car if you don't want to pay for a hotel :D

I can fit in a 240 hatchie with the back seats down and sleep there comfortably. I have used them as makeshift hotels on many a nights. :haha:

Just some I snapped off a little while ago to celebrate the Rover's arrival... I know the car's got tons of photo potential, I've just got to go out and actually spend some serious time taking pics of it.

Mananetwork 07-16-2008 09:22 AM

Dan, your pictures are slowly improving!
I like the location, works well with the car :D

1983 Z28 07-16-2008 10:01 AM

Hahaha thanks, although I don't know how it'll look in photos after I paint it.

The location's actually about 30 seconds from my house, behind Tsawwassen golf course (hence the high tension lines and such).

EDIT: I think a lot of the credit's gotta go to Lightroom for actually making me WANT to take pics... hours spent processing pics for work sorta made me not want to do any more of it than necessary, so I all but stopped taking pictures for personal enjoyment

Levitron 07-16-2008 03:43 PM

Loving your shots. So jealous of you being able to review cars that are worth taking photos of too!

I keep preaching the virtues of Lightroom and finally someone actually understands! :)
