i just noticed that my shots in PS and windows look the same, but in firefox, the colours are much more dull! i believe my working profile in PS is sRGB, but my lcd's profile isn't assigned.

any thoughts?

edit: i just changed my monitor profile to sRGB, and view profile in PS to monitor RGB... think it worked somewhat...

compared to?

i can't tell which is the accurate color anymore! need some help here :(

monitor icc profile? PS profile? working space? save for web details? etc...

MikesJo 08-09-2008 07:01 PM

Facebook's photos are always dulled and less detailed. Flickr's are fine and if you upload them yourself to your own server there's no degradation in quality.

LoWeR-CaSe-VoWeLS 08-09-2008 07:07 PM

Good old photobucket stickers for the save.

on a side note i like my rims dirty cause they look gunmetal (lol cheapass) but when i take pictures it never shows up that way.

Theirs look better both on facebook and on here. Yours seem to have a green tinge to them. there must be something happening when your saving.
my working space and color profile are all SRGB for online stuff. calibrated by the schools spyder pro or what ever.

maybe tomas can help you out

MikesJo 08-09-2008 10:38 PM

Get a Mac wes. :)

metal 08-10-2008 01:36 AM

^My prices vary a bit depending on the size of the vehicle, colour, overall condition, etc etc, but usually $150-200 for an exterior detail with a two step cut polish for a medium sized vehicle thats in alright condition and not black haha.

MikesJo 08-10-2008 02:38 AM

You're in Victoria or Vancouver? Special prices for RS members? haha. Damn I have to get around to detailing the car one of these days...takes soooo much time :(.

ColinK 08-10-2008 08:59 AM

nice shots metal!
