not exactly thrilled with these shots (the second especially), we were super rushed for time (sun) but i love the car so i thought i'd share :)

Senna4ever 04-04-2009 05:14 PM

Yeah, too bad about the tree growing out of the sunroof. The first one is the better of the two.

Mananetwork 04-04-2009 07:00 PM

That is one clean Corrado!

MikesJo 04-05-2009 06:31 PM

Nice pics!

Senna4ever 04-05-2009 11:44 PM

^^^ I like how you've added the exposure info. I'm way too lazy for that.

ColinK 04-06-2009 10:14 AM

Geoff, glad to see you out shooting again! :)

Took some shots last night out of boredom. I realize that a lot of the photos I took are too similar to each other, like #2 and #3. Gotta have a better composition next time. Went a little photoshop happy on the last picture :p

^ omg JIZZ IN MY PANTS

threezero 04-07-2009 01:07 AM

the lexus looks great other than the license plate
:( it totally distract from the car the whole time i'm trying to figure out if the plate holder is going to fall off or is that done on purpose.

and its crooked :( the license plate holder

mlworks 04-07-2009 01:24 AM

:( Unfortunately you are correct about the crooked license plate holder. I messed up the drilling and made one hole slightly lower than the other one... The plates are tilted but I can always un-tilt it. If I didn't mess up the drilling, I think it would not look as weird. :p

underscore 04-07-2009 06:24 PM

I find the lights behind your car in the first pic distracting, especially the one on the right.

^ nice car but its pretty much a point and shoot shot. better location, and maybe stand further back and zoom in to compress the car with the bg. and personally i'd take off the plate or color it in with the same color/tone the rest of the place. the black ruins the shot

ColinK 04-09-2009 10:59 AM

^ that has a really cool grungy tone to it. Did it looks similar to that, or is that mostly post processing?

With only one light overhead of the middle of the car, it looks a little funny. The picture would probably look super cool if the car wasn't there lol (or if you had strobes to light the car from the front and sides)

Mananetwork 04-09-2009 12:28 PM

The light just cutting into the frame totally draws my eyes too it. Go back shoot it again, this time a bit lower and maybe two strobes to light the sides of the car

I have a question about these rig shots you guys take, do you erase the rig out in photoshop or when you take a picture of the moving car it just gets panned with the background?

ColinK 04-09-2009 02:23 PM

ususall the rig is "erased" out of the photo. But some are pans with no rig used....

The photos by ashphalt junkie appear to be rig shots.
