oh they were there.. lol
we got kicked out after about 30 mins

we first told them that we were with a company.. and then went they check to see if we had booked time.. and found out we didn't :P The guy didn't care, but said that if the owner had came.. he would prob smash the camera since it is about a $1000 a day to shoot in that spot : P lol

civictron: 1
movie company: 0

hi just wondering what is the rational behind photoshoping license plates out of the cars...

just that its very weird when ever i see u take something out of the picture like that,

its a bit like smuding people's face out so u can't recognize them...

but since these are modified cars, it wouldn't be hard to spot them when u see them on the streets anyway

yeah, its just a bit weird to do something so deliberate but is not artistic.

like u'd never take someone's face out of a picture just to protect their identity right? u get what i mean?

can u really find info of the car/car owner just from getting the license plate number??

snowball 03-29-2006 10:49 PM

hey, where can i get a set of those headlights on that white civic? they look like the one piece from ebay

yes, i believe you can find info about the owner of the vehicle just from the license plate of the car if someone really wanted to

but the main reason why i take it out is simply because i think it looks cleaner that way. sort of like cloning out a pimple on someone's face i guess? :D

think of a plate as an analogy of a name

if you posted a picture of a really hot model.. would you give out her full name too?

I mean I don't know if this info is actually correct but just by knowing your name, within 1 minute you can find an address on Sunnyholme Crescent and telephone number starting with 781.

Now in your case it might be fake, I don't really know because people can enter in whatever info they want.. and that is only a 1 minute search, but for a lot of people there real information is out there. And with a license plate all the information attached to it is real, with the right connections people can get your address if they really want to.

It's always better to be safe than sorry.

thanks, i used the frame to try to balance the elements in the picture, didn't want just one or two objects to take centre stage

he he, well if that's ur reason of doing it then i really think its ok.

just that most of the time people do a very bad job at just sticking a white patch onto the license, it jst looks weird

u are rigtht that u can find out about my info easily,
but then, hundreds of people can have access to my phone number, home addreess, beacuse i give out business cards (which has my number)

its true to be safe than sorry. this i must agree, but at least do a better job at covering, cos photograph is a very big part Art =)

u can't be sloppy about Art

thanks for letting me know though!
