At Daewoo Burnaby or whatever it's called now, when I was looking at a 94 Supra, the guy was telling me how great that it was all wheel drive.

about 8 years ago, I was at Richmond Acura looking to buy an Integra.

i was looking at the SE model outside and asked this salesguy how much it would be to add-on a cd-changer, his reply in a hong kong accent "verrry expensive". So I asked, what about any speicial packages, "verry expensive." then he walked off.

Now, yes I was a young punk at the time and all...but i was there to buy a car since i decided on the integra.

go back a couple days later with the parents, and I chose another salesman to buy my car and the other guy saw and recognized me and had this "shit!" look on his face...too bad his lost one sale.

"I sell a lot of these to H.A.'s"
"A lot of H.A.'s come in here buying these trucks"
"I'd like to see one in Abbotsford"
"I'm the best seller of these in the North West"
"30 years ago, I came to BC with a hockey bag full of money"

This is an indian trying to sell my friend a Harley Edition F-150 last year. He was asking $53,000 and it had 50,000km on it. They were going brand new for $55k.

He originally came in for a quote on a new HD F150, and he tried to get him to wrap up "the deal" on this used one when really he didnt want that used truck. He started yelling and got pissed off at us because we were wasting his time even tho he never wanted that truck to begin with. He said H.A. about a half dozen times. WHO GIVES A FUCK?

Actually they sold really well, which is why they don't sell well now. Most of the MKIV's sold were automatic which makes the 6 speeds very rare. Now that the car is somewhat affordable to the younger crowd, they all want the 6 speeds. Pssst, the auto is faster

I have thought about becoming a car salesman, mostly because of stories like this. I hate retarded salesmen, who don't know fuck all about fuck all they are selling. I had a great experience with a younger guy at the Toyota dealership at the Abby Automall. I asked him if the vehicle we were looking at was available with leather. Instead of the, Oh yes Im sure it is! or I dont know, his answer? You know what, I am new here myself, lets go inside and see if we can't find this out together! Nothing like complete honesty to really make you want to buy it. Unforunately Im broke and can't afford what I was looking at, but if I do end up getting it soon, it will be from him.

is a viper a stealth?

STORY # ONE

Just to show that not all brutal salesmen are persian or foreign or whatever, this white guy is showing me some of his inventory and takes me to a red dodge stealth. "this dodge viper is amazing, maybe a little out of your price range since your looking for your first car and everyhting, but maybe its something to look forward to down the road. you should have seen the guy who traded it in, he was such a Viper enthusiast, even had a Viper tattoo on his arm"

I, pointed out that it was a stealth, litteraly pointed it out by touching the badge on the back that said stealth haha,

slip of the tongue he says, he did say viper like 4-5 times in his sales pitch haha

STORY # TWO
was looking at a clean MX-6 also for the first car, some persian lot in burnaby. first sign of knowing a lot is not straight, is they let you take a car for a test drive with abs. no plates on it haha,,,i was a fuggin night ryder in this thing haha he lets me know its had an accident in which the front right headlight and fender needed to be repaired. I ran the ICBC history check on it, thank god the car was from BC because it showed the car had been titled a "TOTAL LOSS" not once,,,,yesssss heres the good part, but TWICE HAHA and it had been Vandalized 2 or 3 times for more than 2000 in damage each time. poor car, felt sorry for the thing. Shoulda reported them to the BBB but i was to lazy and hungry.

So Final thought and words of wisdom, don't buy a car from a place that's a Car Lot/ Auto body shop.

New Car buying story:

So back in the fall of 2004 I'm shopping for a new car...looking for a sporty compact so my three candiates were:
RSX, Celica, WRX

So i test drive the RSX first, i had to drive the '04 model cause they apparently didn't have any '05's to test drive even though they had serveral on the lot already...I was able to get into a '05 PWP to get a quick peek..more on this later

...anyways next stop was Richmond Toyota. Walk in and immediately notice the Tsunami GTS in the middle of the show floor..i forgot the color name but it's that darker silver metallic. I flag one of the sales guys to see if I could test drive one. He said they only had one and it's that's the one i was looking at. I'm like ok, fair enough and I ask if he could unlock the door so that I could sit inside. He hestitates and starts doing his Russell Peters impression (you know the "be a man, do the wite fing!" bit)*. He tells me "real celica owners" don't need to test drive Celicas. They know right away whether they want to buy it or not. I think there was refereces to "Real Toyota owners" as well. Then he goes on about how many generations of Supra's he has and how he just bought right on the spot without test driving them. All I could do is smile and nod, smile and nod.

Sooo...suffice it to say I didn't buy the celica. I ended up buying the '05 PWP RSX from a auto broker. And it turns out it was the same car that was sitting on the lot at Richmond Acura!

So that's my car buying story of 2004.

*The exact quote is:
Hey! Be a man. Be a man. Do the wite fing. Maybe you don't buy the purse right now. You go some, you go walk around the mall, you see something else, you don't buy, you come back and you say Hey!. I want the purse for thirty-four fiddy. I say no! You don't get for thirty-four fiddy. Now price go up maybe fouty dolla! Be a man.

Lol. I'd always wonder why people speak to "normal not so car enthused" people in such a manner (with chassis codes and engines codes).

Anyways I worked at a used car lot as a lot person and lets just say I overheard some crazy lies.

"oH this is the 5.0L model but it has fuel injection so it'll save you on gas"

WTF? WTF? that makes NO sense.

There are some pretty fucking stupid car salespeople out there, new or used. These people have no business selling cars, let alone be allowed to drive them.

This one fucktard actually told me Acura was an American company and the NSX was manufactured in the states.

Actually.... that does make sense to me. The FI 5.0 on the Mustang used a ton less fuel than the same carb'd version.

Oh that would totally make sense too, if whatever car it was had a carb'd version. Trust me this guy didn't know what he was talking about.

a few years back i went to a kingsway dealership to check out a gsr. I asked the guy a few questions and checked out the car, apparently the gsr was a "type R" and "has about 230 horsepower". I was also told it is faster than a S2000.

anywayss, i decided to leave, i even asked him why it didnt' say "type R" on the side haha
